And instead of Rusev it should have been with someone like Cena or Orton.

WTF were you watching? The crowd chanting "holy shit" simply because he was there, hadn't spoken a single word yet. No, not a loud pop at all. He could have had the crowd chanting ANYTHING he wanted.

Went very well with Rusev, honestly. More of Rock/Cena or Rock/Orton has been done countless times. Also gave some "new blood" more exposure, which dubyadubyaeee sorely lacks right now.

Did you want the roof to literally come off the building? Or perhaps link another ovation that can rival that one? The 1st one that comes to mind for me was HHH's return after the quad tear. Even with that considered, it was not close.

Your point makes no sense, as the situations are completely different. The last 3 years, when Rock was in the building, the crowd knew it. This time, during a RUSEV sketch, when many folks were halfway paying attention, he came out. You can't expect the same pop, my negatively repped comrade.
