Deals like that take time, and the ownership of Michael's library has been debated (Hence a court decision). Then they have to mix and chart the songs. Even a rush job could take a couple months.

I would have figured that getting Beat It in GHWT that they'd have gone to the effort of putting together a deal like with Hendrix where there is a track pack to follow almost immediately after. I mean, not every Michael song is suitable for a band game, but he's got some tracks that would be great for this sort of thing. Some of them would be a little on the easy side, but they'd still be fun I think. Off the top of my head:

Now watch them have awesome DLC for GH5 and then I'll have to buy it.

Maybe that's why they're giving us crap for World Tour, so they can have the real good DLC for GH5 to boost sales.
