Having somebody pretend to be Lord Alfred and talk about Paper Jamz? Way to ruin the night WWE.

To me, it sounded more like they spliced and cleaned up various audio of him over the years and picked out the neccessary wording for the promos (they do have an extensive catalogue, and better sound facilites than just some guy on a Mac). It also worked a bit better than it would for anyone else because he did used to kind of "pause" a bit and thouroughly annunciate when reading those copies. The Paper Jamz one sounded a bit less clean, but "A" for effort by WWE to keep it authentic.

It would have been better for them to air ads that he actually made. It would even be funnier if the products didn't exist anymore. For the lack of a better word it was a "sound-a-like".

Couldn't they have gotten a bigger Nexus shirt for Cena? Christ, it looked like it was going to cut his arms off.

Also, he never took off the armband...

Course that could be because it's so tight on him it already grafted to his skin.

been watching it now

'i brought my fossil brush' ahaha, layla is just so awesome.

super entertaining so far.

Who the fuck ever complained about JR?

Tedious would be the most notable. There are definitely others.

In the end, it was a really good show; didn't ever want to stop watching at any stage. Good use of the word 'monstrosity' by Barrett. It is an English word, of course.

Kind of wish they would've been able to get The Rock to make a cameo (totally thought it was coming when Tony Atlas started going on about his dad) or even tape something like they did for the SmackDown 10th Anniversary, but it was still a great night. Just a lot of fun, and the guys they gave more time to delivered. Piper did an amazing job really selling the Survivor Series main event.

Other random thoughts: the format was great and really made 3 hours seem like 1 hour, loved Chavo giving a shout out to Eddie when they were giving all the legends on last hand, Alberto Del Rio continues to be the goods, the Bryan/Swagger match was great, love the storyline progression through the night (Orton/Cena meeting early, then again late; DiBiase handing back the Million Dollar belt and saying he wants something of his own before taking out Bryan, etc.).

Also, Lay Cool remains awesome.

Interesting thing I read on liveaudiowrestling.com

"I was absolutely floored that the name ‘Mel Phillips' was used on a WWE broadcast, not sure if that was an implied joke from Vince McMahon in the headset or Cole just made the reference to throw to Justin Roberts. For those unaware Phillips was a north east based announcer for the company in the 70's and 80's and left the company amidst allegations of propositioning young ring boys, who were working for the company in a major scandal for the company in 1992 that also involved then executive Terry Garvin and Pat Patterson with all three leaving the company but Patterson was brought back and McMahon has always maintained Patterson was a victim of the allegations because he was a homosexual and Garvin and Phillips were the culprits."

Loved the feel. It was different and neat. I’d give the show a 10, but there were two things:

- Michael Cole. His commentary here really took me out of the match and was impossible to ignore. It just didn’t work.

- No Papa Shango!

Other than that, this show was terrific.

9/10

Either have Jim Ross back on RAW and keep Michael Cole on NXT and SmackDown full time, or try him as the General Manager, as he gets heat.
