What I don't really get is why they think Cena is a ratings magnet to the point where they brought him back early to get a title. Where is this golden age of Cena ratings? He's driven most of the attitude era fans away. Ratings have gone down every year since he was made the focal point of Raw and the WWE He can still sell shirts without even being on TV. I agree with Steele, I love the storyline. Except the ending of battleground, I think it is the best storyline in the last 10 years.

Some people can't handle a long term story, it's really too bad that you can't ehhh it for what it is, i sure am, and will continue to do the same each week.

People who complain about the long term booking issues are the same people who complain about WWE not making new stars while shitting on guys like Sheamus in 2009 when he was coming up the ranks. They don't want long term booking, new stars or whatever else they say they want. They just want something to complain about.

The logical person in me says that they should go to HHH vs. Bryan at Survivor Series. HHH taps out. Next night on RAW, HHH says that Bryan can no longer challenge for the title. Bryan gets into the Rumble, HHH puts him at 1. Bryan wins, gets title at Mania.

Just please no more Bryan vs. Orton.

I don't mind the long chase for Bryan, but they just need to get rid of all the retardedness and the bad booking. I think he's been decently protected in all of this, but there's been just so many mis steps and bad delivery.

And Orton is just so MEH. Good performer, definitely a step above the mediocre guys, has that main event polish... but he doesn't do ANYTHING that captures your imagination.

I honestly feel like most of HHH on the t.v. is telling us how great he is/was, not much of it has actually been him being great. But whatever, I'm sure James Steele has an essay written to prove how great he is. Sorry, you shouldn't have to explain to me how great someone is, they should just be great. He is good, not great. Between 2000-2001 he was fucking amazing, but from there, he's been decent-good with random spirts of close to greatness. He sucks the fun out of a lot of stuff.... whenever he starts doing something good, it's due time before things get contrived and awful and all the winking and nodding starts and he takes the steam out of whatever feud he is in.

I have no problem with long term booking, but there DOES have to be SOME give and take. I'm not necessarily talking that the series of matches has to be split 50/50. Think about the best movies/episodic tv shows you've seen. At some point, there's almost always a moment where the audience feels the good guy has the upper hand, only to get cut off at the pass.

The HBK as ref was one such moment. Hopefully DB shows up tonight with a letter from the board saying that much like HHH's stripping of Bryan due to an influenced referee, they are holding up the belt once again. And they're appointing a special guest referee for Orton/Bryan III:

"No chance! No chance in Hell!"
