So take away the 40ish minute weather delay and this was basically 3 hours on the nose. So much better than one longass Mania.

Other than the Cole botch that was a really fun main event and the right woman won. Hair whip at the end was magnificent.

I think overall a really good show. Kind of "had it all" when it comes to what WWE likes to offer for a big show. Lashley/Drew, Cesaro/Seth, and Bel Air/Banks were fantastic. The two big tag matches were really entertaining and told a good story, and the Strowman/Shane match was a solid car crash with a great big bump. The only match that sucked was the Tag Turmoil Match. The delay actually made me more excited for the show and provided some good improvised promo's. Overall a success I'd say. Makes me feel like I might start watching WWE again when they get live fans back. At least PPV's.

It's Florida....the ReTrumpliKKKan Nazis, who bought all the tix to Mania, hate minorities in general, and don't want to see them portrayed in any positions of social power at the expense of ol' Jim Crow Whitey in that state.

But then, such is to be expected of them for choosing to vote for a domestic/international terrorist like their 'Dear Leader'.

Very interesting to watch a good WWE show after a year of only watching AEW. When WWE is good it certainly is in a league of it's own I'll say that. The action tonight was so tight, quite realistic compared to what I've been accustomed to lately. Just tighter, more developed and less spotty, certainly more about the story. Very refreshing.

Night 1 was very entertaining overall. Only real duds were the Women's Tag Turmoil match and Cole completely botching the big call moment for the end of the main event.

Rollins vs. Cesaro was my match of the night.

In terms of Mania week rankings, I'd put Mania's Night 1 ahead of NXT TakeOver's Night 2 but behind NXT TakeOver's Night 1 show.

Michael Cole’s best work is when he’s having to hold things together in moments of chaos. I think he did well during the delay. He handled Lawler’s heart attack like a pro, etc
