i do leave it on auto but it still doesn't work...
isit becoz the modem is connected to the pc and my ps2 d'ya recon?

Could be?

Mine is set up so everything is done automatically, and it doesn't try to verify my username/password. I have DSL, and it works fine. Trying unplugging the USB from your modem and resetting it up.

Getting your ps2 online is so easy.

Buy the network adapter, plug the cable out of your pc and into the back of your ps2. That's all I had to do.

Does anyone else notice that the rooms are completely randomized? Like I'll get a room for non-championships when I'm looking for championship rooms... And it's rare to see the same room twice within a minute or so...

For slimline all u do is put the network adapter in the back of ps2 and then get the cable and put it at the back. then use the online set up thingy disc thats it. its the same as the normal ps2

The slimline has a built-in online adapter. You just plug in your Ethernet cable and run the online set up disc.
