I agree with Collinsworth in that if you are unfortunate enough to lose the coin toss, your team should man up and play defense and stop the other team. And I was kind of bummed over the result, but really the Steelers didn't look that great on either side of the ball. They had no running game and Rothlisberger got sacked like 5 times, and I dont think you can blame it all on the titans defense..

The Steelers defense is going to be really affected if Big Hair is out for any length of time too. EDIT: 3-6 weeks or longer for a possible sprained MCL.

It's the same for both teams so you can't really complain. Also, the Titans had their chance to march up the field and win the game at the end and they screwed up 3 & out.

Have to give props to the Titans. It was a game that really could have gone either way. They had their share of opportunities to win the game - they just never capitalized.

That was one of the most boring NFL overtime games I've ever watched. I perfectly understand why the Titans ran out the clock to end regulation, but they showed no life on defense whatsoever in OT.

So, Drew Brees and our RB's have looked great.. Better yet, our D has been pretty solid with getting Darren Sharper.. We are also like +7 in turnovers which is something we were seriously lacking.. Loving the new Greg Williams lead D.. Lynell Hamilton and Mike Bell have also been nice suprises.. Glad they kept 4 RB's (Bush, Thomas, Bell, and Hamilton).. PJ Hill was good but the other shined.. Glad Smith and Grant aren't gonna miss any divitional games during their suspentions..

Anyway, my prediction for Sunday is Saints 49, Lions 0..

Nooooo. I don't care anywhere near enough about the Lions to actually do anything about it. Just wouldn't completely suprise me to see the 0-16 team win their first game.

Have you seen the Saints stats the first three games this preseason??

Now I realize it it preseason, but even against the Dolphins (who won the AFC EAST last year) no starting "skilled" offensive player played a snap.. No Brees, Bush, PT, Colston, Lance Moore, Henderson, Shockey.. Practice squad guys were playing the Phins first stringers (even Pennington) in through the first half and we only lost by 3.. Also, John Carney missed a 36 yard feild goal..

Pretty phyched about our team this year..

I was reluctant to take the -13.5 on the Ravens but seriously even if Cassel plays its vs a fired up Ravens defense at home. The Ravens might not score much on offense but I figure their defense should be good enough for at least one easy score and maybe a defensive td to boot.

It's true though..OT in the NFL is stupid the way they run it. Its predicated on luck. A fucking coin toss can determine a winner.

One team should have the ability to go downfield first...if they score, they score..if they dont, they dont..but no matter what, even if they do score, the other team should get a chance to either tie the game up on their next drive, or grab the win.

Otherwise it is pretty fucking stupid.

Predicted on luck? So the other 4 quarters in the game are irrelevant? A team can't make a defensive stop, cause a big play? That is the worst argument against the NFL OT.

The college OT rules remove the importance of special teams, and to a lesser extent, defense. I have no problem with the NFL OT.

I don't have a problem with NFL OT either. College OT does remove the importance of defense. A game goes 10-10 into OT, a great defensive battle for 4 quarters and then you start giving the offenses the ball already in FG range and the score gets inflated. It's fine how it is.
