As long as the seeding stays as it is now, which means the Texans beat the colts..the ravens should be able to beat the colts in the wc game and the patriots should beat the Bengals. Sets up broncos/patriots, tom Brady usually owns peyton manning and they were the last team to beat the broncos..and you can't tell me the Texans are the same team that pasted the Ravens earlier after they only scored 6 points vs the Vikings.

So the Giants' only remaining playoff scenario:

-Giants win
-Cowboys lose or tie
-Bears lose
-Vikings lose

No chance. I think the Cowboys and Vikings losing are safe bets...but past that even if the Giants manage to win against the Eagles, their playoff hopes hinge on the Lions winning a game. They simply don't deserve to make it.

Isn't there still a scenario where the Hail Mary game could send Seattle past Green Bay for the 2 seed? Seattle would need to win while the Packers and Niners lose. That'd give Seattle the West and their 11-5 tie with the Packers would be broken by the Hail Mary game.

It's not likely (Niners would need to lose to the Cardinals) but it would be hilarious.

Well to be more specific, Matt Ryan has set the line for his playoff performances to be compared by. I think the smart fan is looking at those performances and they're simply saying, before we believe in you, you have to prove it.

If Russell Wilson was 0-3 in the playoffs with those abysmal stats then I'm sure the fans would say the same about him too. There seems to be only one family name that gets a pass, no matter how shitty their stats are.

I'm not sure that is such a fair assessment right now. That running game and that defense is peaking right now. I think that the win in Chicago a couple weeks back has built some confidence in these very young and very scary Seahawks

As for the subject at hand, maybe... just maybe... the Falcons were not the better team in those three playoff games. Shocking I know.

Maybe Matt Ryan doesn't choke in the playoffs. Maybe his teams lose in the playoffs to better teams. Like... teams that go on to appear in the Super Bowl like the teams "he" lost to have.

With the AFC...I see the Ravens/Colts first round game being pretty good and I think it's a toss up. But I see the winner of that getting knocked off in the 2nd round regardless. The Bengals are a good team, but I don't think they're quite there yet and I can't see them going into Houston, New England, or Denver and winning (sorry Supreme ). So that leaves the 3 top seeds. Gotta go with the Patriots. Regardless of seeding, it's hard to bet against Brady and Belichick in the postseason...unless Eli and Coughlin are on the other sideline.

I think the NFC East winner will get bounced by the red hot Seahawks in the first round, and the 49ers will be able to get past the 6 seed. The Falcons are very difficult to beat in the Georgia Dome, so in spite of the "one and done" reputation they've had I could see Falcons/Seahawks going either way. But in either event, the Packers get past the 49ers in Lambeau and I think they match up better against both possible NFC Title game opponents.
