Loving the game.
Only complaint I guess are the controls but nothing super major. I have just lost a few rounds here and there due to it. Sometimes the screen feels a bit tiny but overall, loving it.
The Mii Fighter character is surprisingly fun.

I like what they've done with the Mii fighter customizations and stuff but the character itself isn't that fun for me. Then again I only really like playing maybe 4 or 5 different characters

My R key on my 3DS stopped working sometimes though, getting annoying. Might buy the new 3DS with the "smash stick" or w/e. Bigger screen too right?



Anyway I've been dicking around with the other modes and unlocking crap etc. For Trophy Rush I've been having tremendous success with Fox. Stand on one side and spam your laser, roll out then back in to avoid lightning ball things (the warning at the top)... only problem is sometimes when you laser the bomb squares they'll inexplicably move towards you so you gotta be careful. I've been getting about 30+ trophies and anywhere from 2-5 custom parts each go. Not bad for 900G investment.

I am having fun with the game still, but I'm going back to playing other games again. Still, Smash is my main game (until Pokemon comes out next month). The online play is fun, I'm enjoying doing all of the challenges, and the street pass mini game is okay.

I have a friend that unlocked everything in one day, and went back to Destiny. Not everyone has the attention span of an ADHD chicken, but some people tire quickly.

I just can't relate to a person who 'unlocks everything' and moves on. I'm big on the game experience and never cared for '100%ing'. You will never get your money's worth like that.

When you do that it makes the game feel like too much of a chore. That's largely been my issue with many MMO players. They complain about there being nothing to do, no carrot on a stick to keep them going. Why isn't simply playing the game and enjoying it enough? I play a game because it is fun and challenging. Yes the objectives and unlockables etc are part of that, but actually playing the game and experiencing it in the moment is tremendous fun. I don't know. Can't verbalize what I mean but I hate that about most gamers

That's why I've never been into Achievements. These Achievement whore people play shitty games that aren't fun just to bring up their gamerscore, and it's just really sad.

I was trying to use Mac to get the 4 KO nerdpoints because I figured his Counter + KO punch would be enough

Ended up going with the tried tested and true Kirby down+B spam from the air. Float away from stage to lure them to side of the main platform, down+B, repeat. Was enough.

I like the multi-man smash modes though. Trying to improve my times on them. I find they are helpful for me as a player because they force me to use tilt attacks more than smash attacks so I get more in the habit of doing those so I don't leave myself open to be punished as much

A new mode involving both Master Hand and Crazy Hand was teased to be exclusive to the Wii U version.

Wii U version is rumored to have both a board game mode and stage creation mode as exclusives according to leaks from Amazon. May or may not be the two modes that were previously teased by Masahiro Sakurai.

Some highlights of stuff for the Wii U version announced today include an 8-player mode, character specific end game cutscenes for All-Star and Classic mode, playable Ridley fighter, and playable Mewtwo fighter.

I'd assume Mewtwo will be available for both unlike Ridley because of the stage being a Wii U exclusive.

Sakurai did state that the rosters would be the same between both versions mostly for balance and data transfer purposes. It would make sense for it to also cover DLC plans.

Found the official trailer for Mewtwo and yeup he's in both (3DS appearance is around the 35-36 second mark)

For those in Europe and Australia, release dates for the Wii U version were pushed ahead by about a week.
