I think people have been on big on the Red Sox because for the most part their starters have been getting into the 7th inning and the relievers have been doing pretty well. There has been a few hiccups along the way, but so far they look pretty good

But that is only so far and it is still April, I don't see anyone making predictions for the entire season off the first month. They've just been real good thus far, I mean everyone is talking about how crazy A-Rod is playing right now, but I don't think anyone thinks he is going to break the HR record or something.

Well he has broken a Home Run record or two all ready. But if you're talking about getting like 50 or 60 +Homeruns this season it's probably not gonna happen.

Let me just point out in the Yankees defense that most of their starters really can't make it to the 7th. I mean we've got rookies like Chase and Karstens and a relief man named Igawa pitching. For the Red Sox it's different all of them are proven starters. For us 3 of our starters could make it to the 7th Wang Andy and probably Moose. God only knows how long Pavano will be out now. Our relievers right about now suck. All I'm hoping is that we turn things around or DFA Mike Myers. I swear to god if I was the coach he would of been DFA'D the second he gave that Grand Slam to Crawford.

Why not? I could easily see A-Rod hitting 50 or even 60 home runs. He's hit 50 before. He's one of the best hitters of all time, and one of the best home run hitters of all time. There's no denying his talent. If anyone could do it, he could.

We'll be fine. There's no need for alarm right now. We had a crap April last year and I believe the year before. We just got Matsui and Wang back. Mussina will be back soon, and so will Pavano (hopefully). Hughes is the best pitching prospect in all of baseball. Pettitte has been solid and should continue to be. There's no need to worry about Rivera or Jeter's defense.

The pen is overworked, that's why they keep blowing games. Once Wang, Mussina and Pettitte (possibly Hughes and Pavano too) give the pen some rest they'll improve. I envision the rotation as shaping out like this:

Wang
Mussina
Pettitte
Hughes
Pavano

Shift Igawa to the pen as the long man, DFA Myers and sign Ron Villone, who tore it up in spring. Rest Vizcaino, Proctor and Bruney a bit. Let Bruney pitch in more pressure situations, he's money. He could even take Farnsworth's job if he keeps it up and Farnsworth keeps sucking ass. And hey, who knows about Clemens. Wild card right now.

The bats have been fine. A-Rod obviously is having one of the best seasons ever to this point but people overlook how good Posada has been. Abreu, Jeter (though not for power), Cano and Phelps are all hitting, Damon is coming around and Giambi is coming back huge. Matsui should start raking soon too.

April might be a wash but I think we're going to heat up soon.

I would say that Tim Lincecum and Homer Bailey are the 2 best pitching prospects over Phillip Hughes, but he's probably in the top 5.

I think the general feeling is either Hughes or Bailey could be #1. I know some would put Hughes and some would put Bailey in the top spot. Lincecum hasn't been regarded as being better than either of them.

Game rained out today, probably for the better actually. The bullpen gets a much needed rest and I think the rotation lines up better.

Apparently Hughes stays on for tomorrow and Pettitte goes Friday against the Sox. Saturday is either Karstens or Igawa and Sunday is Wang.

Who do the Sox have in line for the weekend series?

Let's see since Pettitate got rained out today he's make his start against Dice K on Friday. (Which is going to be another rain out possibly)

Yeah, a lot of crazy shit goes down But Tavarez is the worst starting pitcher for the Red Sox. IMHO Julian Tavarez starting for the Red Sox really reminds me of what Igawa is for the Yankees. So I guess you can say Julian giving up 7 strong innings and a 2 ERA and 6 K from Julian may be setting your Heights extremely high. If I were you and had Julian on my team I'd hope he have five strong innings cause really Tavarez pitching 7 strong innings is kinda unrealistic. But this is baseball so anything can happen but really in all honesty the last game is really in our favor. One of the pitchers on the Yankees against one of the worst starters for the Red Sox is pretty lop sided. But anything can happen.

Stima, do you really think Willy MO and Manny for that matter are quality outfielders? They are very spotty. Is it so hard to believe that people outside of MLB can run down or catch fly balls better than major leaguers? Do you think Manny and Mo are on the team because of their defense? Nah man, I can play outfield better than they can. I can't hold a candle to them in terms of offense, which of course is why they are on the roster. Manny is imo, one of the best hitters ever to play, MO is there to hit HRs. Defensively, they can be very close to being labeled as terrible. (Manny has gotten better mind you)
