So much for big show returning, cena returning nobody seen coming and im suprised they managed to keep it under wraps. Wouldn't be at all suprised i it was a last minute thing. And how the fuck did finlay get "dq'd" from the rumble for using the shilelagh? They showed in the build up kane nutting honky tonk man with the guitar, not the first time weapons have been used in the rumble, i recall steve blackman using weapons as well but now all of a sudden its a dq?

As usual the rules change on a yearly basis it seems..apparently hornswoggle got dq'd for being guilty by association. All the build up for him in the rumble and he was barely in the ring even.

I really do think this was the worst Rumble ever....not even because of the outcome. I swear at times the entries were under a minute apart, and bits of it just felt completely thrown together...not to mention people just laying around half the time.

Plus booking wise, some things just made no sense...why is Chavo in the Rumble despite being ECW champ? Why did ECW's supposed next big thing get eliminated within seconds? How did Finlay get DQ'ed? What the fuck?

I think Shelton's stint was the worst part of this Rumble. They were trying to build him as credible, and he just screwed it all up. Well, creative screwed it up.

And will Kane ever do anything of note? Not like anyone thought he'd win, yet he stays in until the Final 4.

Overall I enjoyed the show. Couple of surprises in Cena, Snuka and Piper. Couple of nice nods to history throughout the show. Two enjoyable title matches. A grudge match which, whilst not decisive, at least achieved an objective. The "Hardy for Champion" hyperbole should cool now. No sign of Big Show. Unpredictable outcome. Good stuff.

Didn't much like the treatment of Santino and Shelton, and Finlay being disqualified was a joke, but what's a few flaws in a WWE PPV? Coulda been much worse. The lack of consistency in entrant intervals was more noticable than it should have been (they always do it, but COME ON, sometimes it was around ten seconds after the last guy actually got into the ring!)

Yeah but him going in, nailing the 3 ECW guys will tide him over. It's won't hurt him.

And Kane is 'comfortable'. He's always gonna be over to a certain degree, no matter what which is why he wasn't really out of place in the final 4.

I thought the rumble match itself was pretty damn good...lots of people, lot of talent, some surprises. One of the best in years I think

I think Orton has a done a good job with the title, but Hardy had to go over. Hardy/Cena is way more intriguing then Orton/Cena.

It would have to been the first time where Cena wasn't the underdog. It would have been a different fun thing to see.

Another gripe... it was Kennedy who put Cena on the shelf, yet when Cena hit the ring he made a beeline for everybody except Kennedy.

It is obvious we are going to see Triple H vs John Cena at WrestleMania 24 now, based on the story of the Rumble match (Triple H's disbelief that Cena would show up on "his" big night and steal his win) plus the carefully orchestrated nose-to-nose staredown between the two which just so happened to beautifully capture the WrestleMania 24 banner in a perfect "build-up video package" shot.

You do realise this is going to end with Cena not winning the rumble. Since Hornswoggle was not eliminated they'll show some footage of Cena jumping over the top rope at the end of the match and both feet hitting the floor.

Man, the main even for WM needs to be Hardy v. Cena v. Orton. FFS, HHH & Steph, let the young guys run the fucking company. That match alone has BUYRATE written all over it. All of those dudes are over: Cena = came back strong, has national reaction, cheer or boo. He will bring heat to the match regardless. Hardy = been the best he's been, WAY over with the fans and has a solid fanbase. Orton = been good with the title, get him more of a personality and he'll be one of the best of the next generation.

There is no way they could go wrong with that main event. i just do NOT want to see HHH in the fucking main event AGAIN b/c he's had his time and even if he puts someone over, it won't mean anything. Have Hardy win the match though, making it more special and setting up a storyline for those 3 for the future months. Vince, i am giving you the fucking answers right here, just DO IT.

WOW, I just cannot believe the shit I saw tonight. If I would'nt have seen it, I wouldn't have believed it. No way did John Cena just win the Royal Rumble!! I'm still in disbelief. I'm all for surprise winners, but not him! So the 6 months to a year injury lasted all of 3 months????? I really hope that he rushed this too much and gets injured again. Plus it seems that he has even made more history. I don't believe the Rumble has ever been won by someone who wasn't announced for it.

I actually thought there was some hope tonight since even Rey lost by pinfall. But of course the odds has to come in for 5 minutes and wins the whole damn thing. Great job, they blew their load again.

I just got back from the Rumble... while I thought the show was awesome (though I certainly didn't agree with the ending), I'm REALLY curious how it turned out on TV. The crowd was REALLY pro-Edge, and the Orton/Hardy match was evenly split. Also, when Cena's music hit, the place went nuts.... until his music died, then the overwhelming boos kicked in. I thought it was odd, the crowd was so confused how to react to Cena.

Santino got HUGE heat, the "Let's go Giants" chant was deafening, but no surprise there.

My section sucked (and the guy I was sitting next to smelt SO bad) but the energy overall in the place was amazing. Great PPV.

Very very good show. Only match I didn't like was Flair/MVP. And Cena coming back was a legit surprise.
