Maybe he'll return to Seattle Griffey form though and be amazing again. Even as a Reds fan I would love to see Junior be rejuvenated by a trade and start mashing again.

Speaking of Reds trades, how amazingly evenly matched has the Josh Hamilton/Edinson Volquez trade turned out so far?

Hamilton's stats: .301, 8 HR (2nd in AL), 43 RBI (1st in Majors), .909 OPS (5th in AL)

Volquez' stats: 6 W (2nd in Majors), 1.12 ERA (2nd in Majors), 57 K (1st in Majors)

LOL at Manny's play today.

Watched a little of the Sox game earlier and turned it on just when Manny made the play. He makes a running catch near the wall, continues to run up the wall and high five a fan and then throws to first to get a double play.

Luckily the Sox are struggling a lot too or else the Yankees could be in a pretty big hole like last year.

Thank goodness the Jays have had great pitching almost all year so far, otherwise they'd be so much further behind in the standings. Looks like the offense is starting to wake up now too, so maybe I'll see the Jays go on a 8-0; 14-2 type run.

God hates the Mets....just plain and simple. Today's game:

-Mike Pelfrey looks brilliant....not giving up a hit until the 7th
-Mets offense jobs to Jason Bergmann
-Pelfrey gives up a run in the 8th, putting him on the line for the loss

Then we go to the 8th:
-The Mets record a double play on a sacrifice bunt

Then in the 9th:
-Willie Harris makes yet another game-saving catch against the Mets
-With one out and the tying run at 3rd, Delgado hits a liner to Aaron Boone who snags it and doubles up Beltran at 3rd to end the game.

It's days like these that really make me hate baseball.

LOL the Rockies are actively shopping Matt Holliday, supposedly they aren't even looking for MLB-ready talent in return.

They would be so stupid if they dealt him, especially since he's already contracted for 2009. Trading him now would be pretty much packing it in already.

The Rockies are 11 games back and aren't winning at even a .400 pace. Holliday is awesome, but they're not going to win with him on their team with the makeup of their team as it stands. That's their thinking I guess. I can understand what they're thinking, but might be a bit too early to concede things.

I think the Rockies are right in not asking for MLB-ready talent for Holliday. Holliday is great, no doubt...but teams will be reluctant to trade for a guy with the drastically different home/away splits Holliday has.

Yankees on pace to score 300 less runs than last year. A-Rod really can't come back soon enough.
