Coughlin confirms that the entire Giants coaching staff will return in 2013, including Gilbride and Fewell (unless they get head coaching offers).

Not surprising. That being said it'll be a cold day in hell before I ever like Kevin Gilbride's playcalling.

Carsd and Bears both interested in Broncos OC Mike McCoy to become either team's new head coach.

If McCoy signs with the Cards, he has to rebuilt the entire offensive staff since almost all were fired as well. Nobody on the defensive side was fired (so far).

I don't even think it's between Luck and RG3 as much as it's between RG3 and Russell Wilson. Wilson was definitely more consistent than Luck this season. I do think that RG3 is gonna win it though.

Poor Doug Martin. Any other year and he'd be right in the thick of things.

Can't say I blame him. He's the greatest return man in the history of football, but he's not even good at it anymore and doesn't really contribute anywhere else on the field. May as well get out while healthy.

Bloody Monday. Do you think any of the GMs/owners who fired these coaches ended the call with "Happy New Years" or some other awkward pleasantry?

Crazy thing is, there might be more firings to come. I think Carolina would be foolish to keep Ron Rivera and not make a run at Andy Reid.

Are teams allowed to contact assistant coaches on teams that are currently in the playoffs or is there a moratorium on hiring? I can't remember. Hopefully, Dirk Koetter doesn't take any offers in the middle of this playoff run. I feel really good about the Dirty Bird's chances this year.

Need permission in order to do that which is why Cards and Bears can talk to the Broncos OC right now because Denver allowed it. Don't think they can be hired or travel to be interviewed until after their team is out or the playoffs end.
