Tell me someone else saw the Sens vs Ranger games tonight. Jesus if you really needed any more proof that the Sens have amazing depth/kick total ass look no further than this game.

Gone from the lineup:

Chara
Redden
Phillips
Fisher
and of course Hasek and Havlat

Final score 4-1, Rangers get out shot, out played (though I admit that might have to do with the significant amount of penalties), Jagr gets completely shutdown (except for a nothing assisst on a nothing goal) mostly by the 20 year old Rookie Meszaros (amazing way to bounce back after one of the worst games of his career against New Jersey). The Sens without 3 of their top 4 D-men still manage to win and win convincingly, as I've said before when the Sens are motivated, almost nothing can stop them.

Also I fucking love watching Tyler Arnason play.

wicked if lightning strikes twice, their standings appear down from last year yet they could make it to the final game again (predicted 2004's playoffs accurate).

Interesting time to make the statement, not that I don't generally agree but he was pretty much totally stopped by the Sens last night

Bruins fired GM Mike O'Connell as of 6 P.M. tonight.

I can't blame the Bruins office for being pissed off that all the moves they made failed at producing a winning season. I still say that trading Joe for Sturm/Stuart/Primeau is good for the long-run cause the team can build around Patrice Bergeron and Brad Boyes, and have Sturm be the scoring leader. Problem is that this isn't the year for the Bruins to do it, they need an off-season to change their game around. Hopefully the new GM will jump start next year's winning season.

And yeah, about Jagr..I get this feeling he kept teasing Joe Thornton, giving Joe a little sniff at the art ross trophy, then yanking it away from him just for shits and giggles. He's toying with him.

You should have gotten a Jagr. But congrats anyways on the jersey. Rangers have done damn well this season. I'm glad they are back in the playoffs.

Anyways, I have a feeling the Habs/Sens rivalry could get bigger this year, especially if they meet in the playoffs. The Habs fans were louder then the sens fans, in the sens arena tonight, and it was pretty much around 50/50 ratio wise in support of both teams. Poor Sens.

Well keep in mind how much longer the Canadiens have had an NHL team. 13-14 years might seem like a long time but really if you think about it most hockey fans start as young children, the era where young kids grow up watching the Sens is only really begining, in another 10 years or more it'll be a different story.

It was a great game and an interesting atmosphere (I was there). Some really stupid chants though such as the NA NA NA NA Hey Hey Goodbye chant, that one was just nonsensical and just plain dumb. If the Canadien fans were louder it's also because they had really much more to cheer about by the end of the game. It's really a shame the Sens had their top 4 d-man out or the game would have been (esepcially in the third period) much more interesting. The first two periods were kickass hockey though, well except for the non fight lol.

Yeah, that non-fight was hilarious. 10 minutes each for delay of game and annoying the refs.

Yep.

Didn't help the Sens either since it forced the other 5 already exhuasted d-men to absorb the half period of play that Norton sat for.

Vancouver just won a game they had to. They were up 2-0 with the 3rd period half over. Calgary tied it. If the Canucks lost, it might be game over. Anyway, Jovo scored in OT to give them the win.

Incredible that Vancouver is in such a dire position.

I think that Edmonton has a better overall team than Vancouver, and since only one of the teams is going to make the postseason, I would have to say I'm going to be rooting for the Oilers to take the 8th and final spot.

On paper Vancouver should dominate the Oilers, but they play the games on ice. *wooooooo*

After Vancouver lost last night, I've lost complete interest in them. I'm cheering for the Oil as well.

Sens got Chara and Redden back tonight, they combined clocked almost an hour of icetime

Chara nets two goals, Sens beat Bruins 4-3 in OT, only reason this game went to OT is because of Tim Thomas, he stopped 40 shots for Boston, unbelievable.
