There is no chance of Oakland or Anaheim getting past Boston.

Nomar is a free agent on Monday if (when) the Cubs don't make the playoffs. Why do I have a bad feeling that tis will be the Yankees infield next year?

Do you think that Garciaparra would accept being a 2B though? This is what I think will happen...
45% Stay with the Cubs 20% Go to the Dodgers 15% Go to the Angels 10% Go back to the Red Sox 10% Go to Yankees or other team That is somewhat educated, but not really |

I think the chances are much slimmer than 45% of staying with the Cubs. I would not be surprised to see him in a Giant, Mariner or White Sox uniform next year, all 3 desperately need a shortstop. I don't know where you got Dodgers/Angels/Red Sox from, Eckstein, Izturis, and Cabrera are all solidifed.

Well, Nomar is from So Cal, so if he wants to go back, I'm sure the Dodgers or Angels will consider it, but I agree both infields are pretty solid already. I'd see him going to the Angels right now over the Dodgers, if that happened since eckstein and kennedy aren't "that" great.
And its not Cabrera, its Cora. ![]() |

I think he stays in Chicago... it's a perfect fit... he's a whiney bitch on a team of whiney bitches... come'on, this is the guy who thought the groundscrew at fenway was conspiring against him and this is a team, that got upset because there tv announcers said the other pithcer was throwing a great game. Chicago cubs need a team shrink. |

No, it's Cabrera. He plays for the Red Sox. I already said the Dodgers shortstop, Cesar Izturis. Alex Cora plays second base.

I heard the A's would be throwing Harden, Redman and then Hudson in that order because of the schedule.
heard it on ESPN this morning. Tim Kirkjun (SP) said it. |

The Twins are using Silva as the #3 guy because he has been pretty hot lately. I assume Lohse is just long relief.

FYI, you're both wrong on the Red Sox rotation.
It will be. Schilling Martinez Wakefield or Arroyo Arroyo or Wakefield At least according to the sox site and Francona, Lowe is going to the Pen for the ALDS, could change for the ALCS, but I wouldn't count on it. Personally I question even putting Lowe on the playoff roster. Gammons said the other day the way the Astros games fall, they could pitch Clemens/Oswalt for all 5 games... Remember a few years ago when SD went to the WS and Kevin Brown pitched like every other game? Anyway, begining of the year I got a Clemens and Schilling jersey and called an Astros/Red Sox WS... still got some hope there! |

It;s funny how you're still bitter over Nomar leaving. Kevin Millar, who seemed to be the leader of the team last year, is a huge redneck. So are Trot "Props to Jesus for that Walk off Homer" Nixon and Tim Wakefield. A Red Sox fan calling ANYBODY a whiner might be the most ironic thing I have ever heard.

Miz, it would be great if you knew what you were talking about.... I was going to try and clue you in, but instead... I'll let you explain and maybe show you have an idea of what you're saying. 1) How am I bitter over Nomar leaving? 2) Did Nomar leave or was he traded? 3) Any idea where Millar grew up? 4) Any idea how the "Cowboy up" phrase started? 5) Does being very religious and having a strong belief in Jesus automaticly make you a Redneck? 6) What is your definiton of a "Huge Redneck" 7) What's ironic about a sox fan calling "ANYBODY" a whiner? Answering these will save me some time in educating, so I know exactly where you need help. |

Yash, I hope you know the Red Sox could face the Twins if the Twins sweep the Tribe and wind up with a better record then the A's/Angles. It was on ESPN this morning.

1. You manage to turn every baseball discussion into an attack on Nomar.
2. He was traded, that doesn't stop you from your "Nomar wanted out" and "Team cancer" hissyfits 3. Los Angeles, California to my knowedge. You don't think there are hicks out there? I used to live in Oakland, there are rednecks all over California. 4. No and I don't give a shit. 5. No, but Trot Nixon is one of the many people who is a Jesus Freak and a redneck. 6. I don't have one. What the hell does that have to do with anything? 7. "The Yankees buy championships  " when the Red Sox have the 2nd highest payroll in the league. If the Red Sox lose, it's never their fault, it's always the Yankees fault. |

Ahh, Miz, Miz, Miz... really... normally you know what you're talking about... but let me try and help ya out here...

Really Miz, I think you need to stick to things that you know about, this clearly isn't one of them. I mean, I'm sorry if nomar is your fav player and you sleep w/ his card under your pillow, or your a yankees fan who's afraid you might actually lose a playoff series to the Sox... but it's only a game, life does go on. Nomar has talent, no question about that, when healthy he's a top 5, maybe even top 3 SS in the league. That being said, over the last few seasons he was a selfish player and the Sox did the right thing and got a good deal by trading him. The man is a whiner and paranoid, which I'm thinking the paranoid may somehow be tied to obsesive compulsive, but I don't know enough about the disorder to say that for sure. The cubs own media and fans are ripping the cubs, everyone from Baker who always gets accused of burning out his arms, Sosa who keeps shrinking and hitting less home runs, Nomar who missed key games in the stretch run... plus their whining... Jesus, go out and play and win, that's how you shut people up. |

I really have no idea. I just think for some reason he will end up on the Giants. They could really use him plus that whole "Cali" thing I hear about all the time. I don't know though, I have never heard Nomar say he ever wanted to play in Cali, everyone just assumes it. Nomar is still one of my favorite players, I am not gonna be a bitch like a lot of other Red Sox fans and believe and the BS and hate Nomar or something.
