Thrashers are looking real good.. again. Getting Tkachuk seems to have been the right move. They should make the playoffs and they could be a real sleeper given the fact they've got all that offense. Letonehn(sp?) is playing solid as well.

Thrashers will definetley be dangerous. Lehtonen is solid, and that offense is real scary, and it could cause many teams some problems.

Tampa Bay is looking real good. It also looks like Marc Denis is starting to show how good of a goalie he is. If his game is on, with the line up they can put on the ice, watch out.

I'm kinda pulling for Colorado to get into the playoffs. Pens/Avs finals would be so fucking hot, would get to atleast see 1 Penguin game.

I know, I know, the chances of the Avs and Pens both making it to the finals, let alone the Av's making it to the playoffs are slim, but I can dream damn it

Avs are on a tear. Good time of the year for them to go on a hot streak. They've been underachivers this year for sure.

Although that doesn't really matter, because Luongo is going to do for the Canucks what Ward did for Carolina...or Brouduer does every year for NJ

Every year it seems like there is 1 goalie come playoff time that will carry an enitre team.

Im sure regretting not taking Luongo or Broduer when I had the chance.

No doubt, im not saying they're going to win the cup or anything like that. 2 weeks ago, the west playoff teams seemed pretty much a lock though. When I said "They've been underachivers..." I really should have said there goaltending.....and Svatos.

Theodore did win both the Hart and the Veznia(Im pretty sure he won both?) So if the Avs do squeak into the playoffs....well you never know if that's what he'd need to get going again.

Theodore did indeed win both in 2002. I'm pulling for the Avs to some how find a way past the Flames, but even if they don't they do deserve a lot of credit for even making it interesting, as I was pretty much convinced the west 8 playoff teams were set.

11 losses ( I believe) in a row for Edmonton. Yeah, moving Ryan Smyth was a good move. Is he worth 10+ wins a season? No, of course not, I doubt any one player is that big of a factor on any team. Trading him though has knocked the soul out of the team. A team that at the time before the trade were sorta still trying to make the playoffs. I guess if they get him back in the off season it'll be worth it. No one ever can deny again however that Ryan Smyth was the heart and soul of that team.

Luongo makes them very dangerous in the playoffs. You get a hot goalie in the playoffs a team can ride him to the finals.
