I'm not sure if I am. Thinking about it, I still haven't completed last years game and it hasn't been off the shelf this year at all.

Oh I'll probably end up pre-ordering from GAME although I'm presuming you only get the documentary disc for Bret, not the 3 disc boxset.

The three disk set is going for cheap here. Don't know how it is elsewhere, but when I see it in some place like FYE it's either under $10 new or packaged with other DVDs.

I've preordered the Lord of Darkness edition (of course!) and the Hitman edition. I'll use the DLC for Hitman then sell it on ebay. Some fool will buy the game on it's own for full price.

They are beginning to activate more profiles on the roster page. I THINK Stephenson said they would be doing 5 a week but I'm not sure if that means 1 a day (old countdown style) or 5 in one shot. If it's the former, kinda weird to start on a Friday.

Anyway, Shad's is up. Has his new theme but his entrance is still him dancing out Cryme Tyme style. A quick edit to a more generic entrance shouldn't be too hard, not that I'd ever really use Shad.

Hmm, seems as though they have also activated The Hart Dynasty and Vance Archer's pages, but as of this posting they just haven't linked them to the Superstars page yet.

LOL Tyson Kidd has a generic big guy entrance and steps over the top rope. That's a fuckup that will be fixed surely.

So the 6 profiles that went up on Friday were Vance Archer, Shad, JTG, Tyson Kidd, David Hart Smith, and Shawn Michaels

According to THQ Tank, they will be "unlocking" more profiles on Tuesday and Thursday of each week for the next 4 weeks, including revealing some of the unknowns.

One of the unknowns was accidentally revealed in HBK's entrance vid as you could clearly see Vince standing outside the ring. The only question then is whether he is the last Raw guy (which would mean Carlito was ordered to be taken out of the game) or a legend.

Marcus Stephenson did a Podcast with GamingRing. He was asked about any new matches or features yet to be announced. On several occasions he said "There are no new match types this year, but 100 "new" ones."

Seems to be hinting at sort of Create-a-Match option IMO. Could be pretty awesome.

As someone who loves playing on Legend difficulty and loves getting into counter sequences with my opponents, I'm loving this.

Don't think that was reversals, as the guy said, when two guys go for a grapple on each other, they go into a collar and elbow minigame. Something small, but cool that I noticed. When Sheamus won, his music kicked in from the 'main' part of the music, rather than the intro. Would be cool if it did that with guys like HHH, Batista etc.

Also, very pumped for this game now. The reversal animations look sweet as fuck. I think they finally may have the 'wrestling sim' thing down now. Along with the graphics this year, I think maybe a No Mercy killer?


Finally saw a sample of the 'muscle structure' thing they have this year. If you haven't seen it, watch Triple H's entrance on the official site, and watch his neck and pecs tense up after he spits the water. Its pretty awesome.

I'm liking what I've seen so far. If CAW is finally fun again and it turns out the "hundreds of new matches" actually is create-a-match then this could be the first SmackDown in years I actually play.

Yeah, might even get it up to a 6-man.

Might lose something without interruptible moves though. One of my DoR finishers was a Bro Kick. Activating that and running at people is just gold.

I'm not so optimistic. Let's be honest with ourselves here, fellas. Something as big as a Create-A-Match, where you could possibly make an Iron Man Tables Match, a Six Man Elimination Extreme Rules Match... you think that would be one of the major things they would announce, definitely more of an announcement than 'improved physics to break tables and ladders'.
