worst umpiring job ive seen this year behind the plate. Colon keeps getting calls several inches off the plate, its ridiculous at this point.

I was gonna say which one is it. Big Bart returned to his original pitching form, the O's suck at the plate, or did the ump get paid off.

Then I flip over to NESN and see Bucholz went 7 and threw 120something pitches. 0-0 game and both teams got hits in. Is the Red Sox bullpen THAT bad, or is he trying to prove a point?

Doesn't the Nintendo guy own the Mariners? I highly doubt they will need to go into fire-sale mode and trade away all of their young talent to save a few bucks.

Os get another blown save off Rivera...amazing. 2 hits and a Sac Fly to tie at 1. They only had 3 hits off Colon for the first 8 innings.

Maybe they should have left Colon in. He hadnt even thrown 90 pitches.

Orioles gave up 3 runs in the 15th, Mike Gonzalez got tossed for plunking someone in the head and forced Buck to use Guthrie tonight instead of having him for tomorrow and now the Os have 2 on no outs in the bottom of the 15th vs some scrub pitcher the Yankees have left in there for 4 innings because they don't wanna throw Chamberlain or Robertson.

this is the most ridiculous game Ive seen in a while.

Os lose though..stupid waste of 5 hours! fucking hate baseball lately

The guy you're referring to is probably Hector Noesi. We haven't seen much of him since he was called up not that long ago. But, he did get the job done. 4 innings of no run ball is pretty good for the kid.

Fat fuck Livan swings at the first pitch and breaks up Dillon Gee's no hit bid in the 6th. Feels like the Mets lose every no hit bid to a pitcher. Doesn't help that everytime they get through 5 with no hits nowadays, the announcers spend the rest of the broadcast harping about how the Mets have never had one until it finally ends.

No Met will ever throw a no-hitter. Ever. I'm not one to buy into curses, but there absolutely is a Curse of Nolan Ryan.

Not sure what's going on with Johan. Hoping he starts rehabbing next month in preparation for a July return.

Don't know if he'll make much of a difference, but he's so fun to watch. Can't wait for him to get back.

The Padres being at home is such a bummer. They tore shit up on the road, and now they have to come back to that dead zone of a ballpark, and be made to look useless again. Very frustrating.

In other news, former top prospect Kyle Blanks is making progress after having season ending TJ surgery, and Assist. GM of scouting and development Jason McLeod indicated that Blanks is building up arm strength for a possible return to LF.

I doubt anyone knows anything about the Padres right now, but Blanks was their top dog prospect (rated the 50th best minor league prospect in 2009) and was/is a 1st baseman by trait, but was moved to LF to get his RH'd bat in the lineup with Gonzalez. He has LEGIT light tower power, and that's something the organization is in serious need of at all levels. With Rizzo looking like THE MAN at first base after the Gonzalez deal, getting Blanks in the same lineup in LF is a smart move.

And hopefully the Padres give me something better to contribute after tonight...

Hahaha I don't understand why'd you root for him. If he can get healthy and move back to LF, he's going to be hell in Coors. I just hope he can get it going. We are in desperate need of a legit right handed power bat. I love Rizzo thus far, but hitting in Petco as a lefty is only going to water him down.

The Yankees really need to call up Montero. I think that could be what they need to pull them out of this. The Yankees offense is starting to let them down a lot. Fuck getting a pitcher at the deadline trade for a hitter or two and we're probably in good shape.
