Becky/Bianca match and moment of the night and probably should have gone on last..... even with Austin actually wrestling.

Speaking of, so freaking weird that they announce that it is going to Steve Austin as a guest on the KO Show.... and then do the build like it is actually just going to be a fight... and then get to the event to have the KO Show and have him challenge him to an actual match instead of announcing it beforehand....

I guess maybe Austin didn't know/couldn't decide until the last minute how much he wanted to do... whether it was gonna be just give KO the stunner and that's that or if he could do more....

The ending was weird but Charlotte vs. Ronda was good and stiff as hell. It would have felt a lot better if the build was better and the crowd actually cared.

Side note: WWE needs to stop editing themes when wrestlers win. I get DX with the long intro, but when Steve Austin won editing out the initial glass break. They do they same with The Rock - editing out the "If Ya Smell".

I think they knew exactly what they were doing with Austin/Owens. It was supposed to under-promise. They overdrlivered. If there’s a next time it will be more obvious what they are doing.

have only watched Austin-Owens. Was fun. Honestly as good as (if not better than) a 1999 Austin match when he was super hurt and was just doing walk and brawls. At least Owens could bump for him. Happy he got to have his proper retirement moment.

So according to Bryan Alvarez, Ronda walked out on friday, when she found out she wasnt main eventing over Steve fucking Austin in fucking Dallas Texas.

I had hoped upon her return that perhaps time away to reflect, and becoming a mother would strengthen her mental countenance. But she still has the emotional sensitivity of a small child, and she does not belong in this business.

Ronda doesn't "understand" how the business works. She is good for marketing and is a star in her own right. But she never would have main evented the show if the show was anywhere in the world, especially since it was an Austin segment. But knowing that it was Austin's retirement match, WWE would have been CRUCIFIED if they put Austin's match on before Rousey's.

AEW feels irrelevant as fuck right now. This was the right thing to do with Cody. Think about what Tony Khan would want. He’d be hoping for a mid-carded to show up and eat humble pie. Don’t even buy the Ronda stuff. Maybe it turns out it’s true, but I’m just going to enjoy the ride with her and not let the out of touch dudes without contacts there anymore affect my interpretation. Love the idea of Charlotte beating her with a boot.

Charlotte needs something else besides just a lot of championships. It’s the quality of the reigns. That I can think of at least four people Charlotte has beaten at WrestleMania off the top of my head is…something. I think she might be the only other person besides Triple H to knock back multiple Royal Rumble winners too. It helps *her* feel like a big star, not just the title reigns.

And Ronda is more interesting losing too. She’s now got somewhere to go and something to climb. Shaking off the rust when she’s already champ is whatever it is. Now she can get into it with Natalya, Shayna or even Becky over on Raw and it’s interesting because she is in it.
