This is one thing I hate about the NBA. You can say with relative certainty right now that the Heat will win the East, and the Lakers will win the West...and you'll probably be right. Both teams are probably locks for the Conference Finals at least.
Hell, when the season starts the writers predict almost every playoff team and nearly get it always 100% right. It just feels like the NBA is the most predictable sport. |

Seriously, I lost respect for Lebron.
That is Wades team. He has won a title and an MVP in Miami. James is the supposed best player in the league, but piggy backed onto someone else. True greats have THEIR team, they dont go somewhere else. It would be one thing if he went to another team and raised them to the top, like Shaq did with the Lakers (they were kind of shite in those feew years before he went there, and he signed and LA was SHAQs team until Kobe took it over later on). But this is just a shit move. |

Like how does Wade feel. It is his team. Bosh coming in is icing in the cake. but Lebron is coming in and bringing the circus. If they dont win the title this year, I guarantee things fall apart. You cannot have 3 Alpha dogs in their prime on one team.

Wade is apparently the reason it happened. He was the one pushing for all three to go to Miami. Wade is probably loving it. He already has his ring, and now he has two amazing sidekicks to help him win more.

Lebron didn't have to take that huge of a pay cut and he is in top contention for a title now. He's also playing with two of his best friends in the league. Seems like a no brainer. I don't know.

No more MVPs for James. I don't see James or Wade getting any votes. Kobe might win one more and then Durant will win the next 5.

Everybody enjoys talented players who are also humble. Something Mr James knows nothing about.

In Team USA at the Olympics the MVP of the team was pretty much Wade. His FG percentage was amazing and his all-around performance was amazing. All that talent worked together including James, Bosh and Wade. I'm sure a coach like Riley can replicate that. Wade would be the MVP, Captain, etc of the team still. He already has a ring and now he has the help he needs which fortunately for him or in the form of his buddies.
Lebron is known to pass a lot so that would cater to Bosh and Wade's game. Wade's a scorer, a shooter, a driver and he needs more open shots. Bosh helps down low and is there for the close goal and can get the rebounds. So in the best case scenario even though all three may have lower numbers, Lebron has a better chance of getting triple doubles even if he has less points, Bosh can do his thing and all this makes it easier for Wade. |

I don't know if this has been mentioned before but since Michael Jordan's number is retired in Miami lol that would mean Lebron has to choose a different number than 23.

"Fathead, the company owned by Gilbert that makes life-size wall graphics, has placed all James-related items on clearance. James' three life-size Fatheads, which were all priced at $99.99, have been trimmed down to $17.41 at Fathead.com.
If that price strikes you as peculiar, you're not alone. American Revolutionary War general Benedict Arnold, a traitor who defected to the British, was born in 1741." From The Detroit News: http://detnews.com/article/20100709/SPORTS0102/7090431/LeBron-Fatheads-now-carry-not-so-coincidental-price-of-$17.41#ixzz0tEDLjgXH |

Also if you are the T-Wolves why are you helping out the Heat? You shouldn't be doing that trade especially if you have a bunch of forwards anyway.

Asked if James' move to Miami will cause a power shift in the NBA, Magic GM Otis Smith responded, "Is Kobe retiring?"

I agree 100%. I would never want help a team out. Unless I was getting something really big in return.
on the flip side... You could say that's steal for Beasley if it turns out to be really good. Big if though |

Guarantee Pat Riley is going to taunt Stan Van Gundy a few times this year as one of those "Look at what your missing out on" since common knowledge is Riley fired Van Gundy when the Heat had a championship-caliber team so he could take all the glory.
NBA will love it since it means an Orlando-Miami rivalry even if it only lasts as long as the former Kings-Lakers rivalry. |

So apparenlty Delonte West fucked LeBrons mom and thats the reason he "quit" against Boston. And it apparently in game 5 it's obvious that he wasnt trying.

Pretty good statement from an article in the National Post:
" “I was surprised,” Orlando general manager Otis Smith told The Associated Press. “I thought he was, I guess, more of a competitor … The great ones do and usually stay in one location. This is a new era. It’s a little different than my time.” Yes it is. We’ve never seen anything like this before. In this era, the players are all friends, and this summer, they and their people ran the league. Not only did we learn LeBron is not who we thought he was, but we learned that he and his superfriends toyed with the rules, with the game, with teams and with the media. They commandeered and co-opted ESPN, and changed the NBA’s traditional rules of engagement. " |

The way I see this situation is this:
Yes, the guy went overboard with broadcasting his decision on ESPN. Complaining about anything other than that just seems like "bitterness". He went to a place where he's probably going to win a championship. As a player, your goal is to win championships. Getting on the guy because he didn't take the hardest road to a ring seems a little silly. And taking the backseat to Wade doesn't sound like something somebody completely consumed with their own ego would do. It's inconsistent with the overall claim. Let's at least be honest about it all. Broadcasting on ESPN for an hour seems pretty arrogant... but the way he came off on TV didn't seem like that, and the way that he's going onto a star studded team doesn't seem like that either. Call apples apples and oranges oranges here. |

I would argue the fact the decision came in the 1st 15-20 minutes meant the whole show switched focused to Lebron gushing about being in Miami and becoming a "team" player while at the same time insulting Cleveland after years of demanding players to boost the team and his stats.
Crowd was basically dead/cold after the announcement since they must have been pro-Knicks (location) or pro-Cavs and had no clue on how to react without it coming off bad on tv. |
