Ryu is very good. Classic SF motion inputs for better specials. Special cancels. A surprisingly useful Focus Attack (with dash cancel!). He kinda opens the floodgates in the way Mac's KO meter does. Interesting stuff.

Roy completes the Fire Emblem shotos. Doesn't have the 'tip' bonus of Marth but certainly hits harder than him and Lucina. Lucas is an asshole.

Bomberman would be hilarious. I can already see how he'd work, taking the multiple power-ups into account.

Eggman may crossover into what the Koopa Kids play like if his little vehicles are kept as his default stance.

Kind of surprised King K isn't in the game.

I always imagined K.Rool was supposed to be in Brawl but was cut. When a cannonball hits Mario out of nowhere in SSE, it's never explained where it came from. I've always imagined it was going to be K.Rool at one point.

I was going to say Inklings but they'll probably be for a future Smash. Waluigi would be cool so I can have a team mate for Wario, my favourite character, but he's an AT...again.

Robotnik (screw Eggman) would be cool if he could switch vehicles in the way some characters in traditional fighters can change fighting stance midmatch.

Basically how Pokemon Trainer did it. Maybe even have those weak points over and under for extra damage. Khuntry also thought Tails would be cool.

Seriously, there are characters I'd love to see in Smash but they're virtually unknown outside the UK.

No. The only Sonic anything in game is Sonic himself. There are trophies for Tails, Knuckles and, I think, Flickies.

I kind of want Knuckles purely because my nephew has the 3DS version and every DLC character has been "meh" to him. I just want him to get excited about a character and he said he wanted Knuckles.

I enjoy how the announcer pronounces his name more like "Rio" than anything. Lead to us having a Ryu/Roy/Roy(Bowser Jr alt)/ROB matchup last week and having many hijinx ensue.

Back in April of this year, Nintendo opened up a special website which allowed users to vote on who they'd like to see in Super Smash Bros. 4 as DLC fighters.

Masahiro Sakurai recently clarified that Lucas, Roy and Ryu were actually in development before the ballot was created, even though he had some idea of their popularity and demand for these characters in advance of the voting.

He added that this balloting system received an extremely large number of votes.
Sakurai stated that he cannot keep the Smash 4 development team together forever, but the remaining characters they add will be those of the fan service variety, until they stop releasing fighters altogether.

He said there would be several more characters added to the game, although he didn't nail down a timeline for the announcement, or when they'd be playable.

This should be very exciting news for the Smash 4 community, as not only will we see more characters, but the balance alterations that follow a new patch's release, whether large or small,

Ness is my main, but I can't play him on 3DS. The camera is too close to the stage, and I can't see myself trying to PK Thunder back onto the stage.
