Disturbed's Countdown Notes: Scotty 2 Hotty


Video 1 - Enterance

Wow, I can't believe it. I have finally found someone on this roster who I don't want on here MORE than the divas. Yes, I don't give a flying fuck about Scotty 2 Hotty. Never have, never will. Christ, when was the last time he was on tv? Anyway, Scotty comes out looking like a gimp, trying to dance his way down to the ring. What happened to his hat? Poor Scotty, he is trying his best yet nobody likes him. He gets in the ring and bounces around looking gay. Lighting is ok though.

Video 2 - Fight Time Part I

Wooooo, it's Scotty vs Katrina, whoops I ment Hurricane (abit of tropical humor there for you folks....oops, done it again!) Match already is 50 seconds in as Scotty reverses a punch into an ARMBAR! Nice flowing annimation there. We see the submission bar come up, it's changed slightly from last year. This year we have got a green vertical line that we have to stop in between two blue parralelle (whatever) lines. Hurricane manages to stop it in escape and he gets out. Hurricane reverses but Scotty reverses again and nails Hurricane with a straight kick to the jaw. Scotty then smacks Hurricane with a one man flapjack and then hits a ddt after many reversals.

Video 3 - The End

HOLY SHIT, HURRICANE IS BUSTED WIDE OPEN! Sick, Hurricane is dripping blood all over the canvas, this is GAB when Eddie bladed wrong. Meh, the blood on the mat disappears after awhile. Although Hurricane is constantly oozing. WAIT! Scotty has Hurricane on the ground and hits the W-O-R-M, lol Tazz called MC girlpants, looks like Tazz watches The Cramp Twins. He then picks up Hurricane and gives him his DDT finisher, screen goes B+W for this, it looks really good, shame the move is actually pretty crappy. HURRICANE PUNCHES SCOTTY IN THE BALLS! Great reversal there, simply because Hurricane was getting pwn'd by Scotty. Hurricane is is bleeding really badly. Scotty delivers a shoulder block and pins for a close two count, which brings up a cool blurry kickout motion and goes to Scotty who cant believe it was two.

Meh, Scotty 2 Hotty, wont be using him at all. Glad we saw the blood mechanic working though. I think the dead crowd during these past enterances is one of the many things that are left to be sorted out. The more I see of this game the more hyped I'm getting for it.

I think Scotty is great, I have always liked him, ever since I first saw him.

The blood thing is totally awesome.....shame it disappears though, I woulda loved to do a 6-guy hardcore match and watch the mat color change to completely red by the end Getting more and more hyped each day

Guaranteed Raw guy Monday....hoping for Masters, but pretty much anything other than another diva will do

Okay, here goes:

Okay, you guys are missing the point. The Divas are already in the game. It's done. But I've still seen some guys bitching that a Diva was next in the coutndown, and there is no point in complaining about that. Would you rather have the Divas at the end? I say save the best for last. Get all the Scotty 2 Hotty's and the Mark Jindraks and the Divas out first. THEN, hit us with the Triple H's and the Randy Ortons and the Legends. "BLARG!! I AWNT TIRPLHE H TO BE SHOWN NEXT!!! NOT A DIVA!!! ARRRHGGUGUUU!!"

As for MNM not being in, I'd have to guess it might have something to do with the cutoff date. They debuted April 14th, so maybe that was after the cutoff date? As for Rosey, who knows. They probably didn't deem him important enough at the time of the cutoff date.

And I'm not registered on the IGN boards, I just lurk around. I wouldn't dare bother to register with that cesspool of n00bish comments and pointless threads.

And why do we need 30 foot ladders? I don't really remember many matches using those, if any.

I heard it was Summerslam, but that wouldn't make much sense in terms of scannig all the wrestlers' faces, motion-capturing all their entrances and taunts, etc... I'd say more like WrestleMania.

UUUhhh EVERY TLC match and a few ladder matches have used them. They're so fucking cool, they are in the raw series for xbox and when you're on the top and it gets tipped over you fall so far out of the ring and also you can climb the 30 foot ladder set up on the outside and do an ariel move on a guy that's inside the ring.

I think that the n00bs on the IGN Smackdown boards live there, you get 100 posts a minutes asking "whens the countdown? who's tonights superstar? where's the countdown? who do you think is tonights superstar?" it gets really annoying. Then you have the UBER-N00BS who bump the previous days superstar, or even earlier like friday with what that *********** GoW_KrOwS(or what ever his name was) did, not only The Undertaker, but he bumped every single thread that Jeremy Dunham posted for SvR 2006

My Thumb Tack System:
  • First of all you must reach under the ring and you grab the bag.
  • You can press a square while the bag is in your hand to spill out the tacks anywhere you want.
  • Then you have to irish whip your oppenent towards the tacks.
  • Your opponent will then be groggy and reeling in front of the tacks (similar to when you whip your opponent towards the edge of the roof of the hell in a cell).
  • When your opponent is in this state you must do your move.
  • While your opponent is in this state, by pressing a directional button and circle there are 4 different moves you can do to your opponent to slam him into the tacks.
  • A lot of tacks will then stay on your opponents back and the remainging tacks on the ground will be useless. Your opponent will have tacks on his back (with blood) for the rest of the match.


This would be so good and as you can see it's not complicated at all. What are your thoughts? Also I would be happy to answer any questions about the system.

Sadistic, I was never really that big on adding the thumbtacks to a wrestling game (or having them in at all), but after hearing your idea, I think it could be done well enough to be added for once. Awesome post.
