Is he awesome though? Sell me on Christian...... because I don't get it. I never have. That's not knocking the dude at all, there's just nothing about him, other than the blue dot story, that is remotely entertaining.

None of AEW’s regular audience was lost on this. We all see it was a fuck up but more than enough goodwill has been bought over time. Company will continue to have more than enough Dynamite viewers to keep plugging along.

Highly doubt any new fans were made though, and now this hilariously botched ending will be used as ammo from the Cornette crowd basically forever.

I get that you are supportive of AEW there is nothing wrong with that. But there is no fixing this. I think the worst part about the whole debacle is that it the match was actually pretty good, way better than I was expecting. And then this just sort of shit all over everything. The build, the anticipation, the announcers hyping the explosion, everyone.

Yeah it would've been great had the explosion worked out. I understand why Tony is putting the spin that Kenny made a dud explosion, but it doesn't fix the botch. As has been said if it was the intention that the Kenny made a dud then the announcers would've sold it that way and Kingston wouldn't have died. As the cameras went off air Mix cut a promo immediately saying "Kenny can't make an Exploding Ring for shit" as Eddie continued to commit to the death sell via sparklers and a few black cats. Not saying that Tony should have said "yeah unfortunately the explosion didn't work out and it was a real let down for us", breaking kayfabe like that would be just as cringey for my taste. No winning in this situation.

AEW hasn't always been perfect but it took almost 2 years for their first real big fuck up. They'll have to take their lumps and pay the piper here but hopefully they can kick off some interesting stuff on Wednesday and move past this.

I heard good things about sting and his street fight and that it was a success. I am happy for him as my favorite all time. I may not love the brand he's in but I am glad he enjoys the freedom of being his own working with Darby is fun for him, sharing that creativity with Darby and working with opponents like tazz shows just what AEW can be.

I heard the show was great too in general.

Having slept on it and seeing how they are trying to spin it is an attempt I guess, but they can't explain Eddie or the announcers.

It makes them all look like idiots and in the end, that excuse maybe gives Omega 1% more heel credibility, but it destroys the credibility of Eddie, the announcers, and the company overall.

It's the same wink wink crap that they constantly do. The actual company should be aware of the problems, it should not be treated like an episode of Being the Elite.

It was an obvious mistake but I'm all for them making a storyline to explain it or even a joke storyline. They can't just let something like that go unaddressed and doing a serious apology or something would be lame as fuck.

I don't dislike that they are addressing it, but address it in a way that helps everybody. Just saying "haha dumb Kenny doesn't know how to make explosions" is bad because it only explains away the bad explosions.

It does nothing to help the credibility of the announcers or Eddie.

Probably would have been better to play up the confusion and have it be a mystery as to who tampered with the explosions and let the angle play out over time.

As it was, it’s one of the most hilarious botches seen on a PPV. Takes me back to TNA’s blindfold match and the electrified cage. They must be so disappointed but it really is the only talking point coming out of the show.

It’s one of those that is funnier every time you watch it.

It's the announcers selling it that make it such an lol moment. Khan is alreadypivoting to Omega being a shitty engineer and I'm sure Kingston will cut a promo explaining things.
