When did this crap start anyway? In days past, people were excited about big stars coming back for wrestle mania. When hogan came back to fight the rock at wm18, no one was like "Man that fuckers taking chuck palumbo's spot!"

All of a sudden everyone is getting their panties in a twist because billy midcard's spot in wrestlemania is taken by a bigger more entertaining star.

I don't give a fuck about what's fair. I want to be entertained. And considering that the rock on his worst day is still more entertaining than most of the roster on their best, I don't have a problem with him being there.

Might have started around the year Melina and/or Morrison publicly complained about Trish hogging a spot at Mania.

People complain about The Rock taking a spot but the WWE is to blame more considering last year they used him solely for Cena and this year rushed a Rock-Punk feud just to go back to Cena again.

It is no secret that Morisson was held down by other wrestlers. Melina sucked and was ugly but John Morison could be the nuimber one star these days but other talent held him down. He had it all.

I've seen autistic chimps who could talk better than him. He made Benoit look like the second coming of the rock.

Morrison had a great look and did some fancy stuff in the ring, but he was right where he belonged.

This thread is moronic. Not only because of the lack of proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar in the initial post, but because the post makes assumptions that are just wrong.

The Rock is arguably the most entertaining man professional wrestling has ever seen. On top of that, he can still work. His wrestling ability still surpasses many on the main roster. In my opinion, his "style" in the last two matches with Punk are a result of bad booking, not a lack of ability or chemistry between the two performers.

Body-wise, The Rock looks better than most, wait, all of the other wrestlers on the roster. He's 41, and still omits electricity when he's in the ring like a mega-star, something many performers of today can only dream of.

The talk about other wrestlers' spots being "taken" is annoying. We all know there are a limited amount of spots for exposure and TV. But you know, some poor jabroni who isn't even near the stature of The Rock didn't have their spot taken, they never had the spot to begin with. Nobody is being held down.

The Rock is furthering the product and pushes whoever he works with to the next level. CM Punk is one of the only reasons to watch pro wrestling, and his feud with The Rock has been great. The real shame is that Punk could possibly be snubbed from the WWE Title match at WM29 not because of The Rock, but because of John Cena. Now Cena is the guy people should be complaining about. Dude's a stand up guy, does a ton for the company and for his fans, but he can't work. His matches are terrible and the only thing that dictates whether the match is solid or not is the guy he works with. CM Punk will be snubbed for us to see "Twice In A Lifetime," not because of The Rock on his own.

The Rock returning to the WWE is nothing but a shot in the arm. Yes, it's good for business in terms of short term buyrates and one-off revenue streams. But while it's good for the WWE in those terms, it does nothing for the WWE in terms of building future superstars.

Everyone recognizes the problem that's been so apparent for the past 3-4 years especially: the mid-card in the WWE has not equated to any major stars and the WWE relies too heavily on old-timers to fill out their major show of the year. And that's all fine for the time being, but it's not a long term solution. Triple H and Undertaker show up and put on a match of a lifetime and then disappear for the rest of the year. Jericho shows up 2 months out and gets a WWE Championship at Mania. The Rock shows up sporadically to cut promos, beats Cena in the main event of Mania, and then disappears again for the rest of the calendar year before coming back to win the WWE Championship. Now he's going to main event WrestleMania again.

Meanwhile, superstars who deserve attention, recognition and pushes into the main event get their legs cut out from under them because all of the focus is on Rock, Lesnar and Triple H, and possibly Undertaker. Everyone else looks amateur compared to The Rock, and when he leaves again after Mania, they're still going to look amateur.

The argument could be made that it would've been better for the WWE as a whole for guys like The Rock and Brock Lesnar to just stay away and for guys like Undertaker and Triple H to just retire, as it would give the current crop of WWE superstars no choice but to evolve, grow and become the new tier of main eventers for years to come.

Yeah Morrison was about on the level of Kofi Kingston or Shelton Benjamin. Fun to watch at times, really fun to watch in spot fests like MitB, Royal Rumble, TLC etc, but reeeeeeeeeeeeally boring character-wise.

Uh... you do realize that Punk was the second best merchandise seller during his face run, right behind Cena right? Punk's not being shunned by anyone, the fans love the guy and he's a perfect top heel or even second face.

As for the topic of the thread, I don't agree with the whole Rock taking people's spots thing. I mean I see where it comes form, and I'm sure him being in the title match is taking a few minutes that could have been used for some sap like Brodus to do a comedy skit, but it's not like he's keeping anyone from being in the main event. Punk will either be fighting Taker or in a triple with Cena and Rock so he's right were he should be, and I'm sure Sheamus and Ryback will be involved with the shield so all the young main event guys have a spot at mania guaranteed.

If there ever was ONE talent worth stealing in that dump of crap called Total Non Stop Action (Total Non Stop Crap) then it was the man they called Rob Terry. I mean look at him...


He has the look of a champions! He is BUILD! He has a baby face! He just oozes charisma because when you believe it or not but looks matter in wrestling. A guy with a big belly and man tits is NOT going to Wrestlemania but a guy like Rob Terry should.

Last I read, TNA is WASTING Rob Terry in that garbage can, OVW.

I think a good move by the WWE would be to sign Rob Terry and have him debut on RAW by taking out The Rock.

Exactly, the reason is he's nothing special in the grand scheme of wrestlers. There are plenty of bodybuilders turned wrestlers out there. I saw him wrestle at a TNA house show (given free tickets) and he'sreally cumbersome in the ring. He doesn't have much chrisma either, so there's no real reason to sign him.
