Only thing I don't like about post comeback hbk, is when he tries to be funny, it just fails imo. Feels so forced. Only bit I ever liked was "I just kicked Stan".

I like both Bret Hart and HBK as wrestlers since when both were wrestling, I didn't have a computer or internet to read about stories of their backstage feud or how HBK was a prick to most people. Once I learned more about the Montreal Screwjob and other stories related to him, I started to hate HBK because of his backstage antics but still liked his wrestling skills.

Ignoring the last couple DX reunions runs, I've liked HBK a lot since his return in 2002 and rooted for him when he won the title in the Elimination Chamber years ago.

I dont like HBK.

Now don't get me wrong, I understand his in-ring ability is virtually without equal, and the amount of 5 star matches he's had will cement his legacy in the wrestling world forever. But personally, I cant find it in myself to the like the guy.

First of all, his entrance music is out dated, and shit. It is. Almost so bad, its good. But it isn't, its just bad. Sexy boy? Gimmie a fucking break, you're a balding middle aged man. Get some propper music.

His mic skills are average. Sometimes they can be good -Most of the time they lack emotion.

He takes up too much TV time, and rarely puts (deserving) people over. I'm not saying he should be jobbed out left right and centre, but imagine if he put someone, I dunno, like John Morrison over in a 20 minute match. He has trhe potential to make stars, yet I can only recall him tapping out to legacy (Though it took two of them, of course!) and getting rolled up by The Miz (He was distracted.)

He has a tendancy to over-sell.

And in real life, he sounds like a prick. Refusing to job etc...

I'll still enjoy watching his matches, and I still think his match with Taker will be the best match on the card. I just don't like him, and doubt I ever will.

What he said.

I am able to realise his unparalleled greatness in-ring but there's something about him that just leaves me cold.

And I think he & Hunter need to bury DX forever now. It wasn't funny the 3rd time, it's not funny the 7th time...

I'm not going to dispute the rest of your post, because that's all a matter of opinion BUT I will say, Shawn Michaels; in his career has put more people over than probably most anone in the business. You don't have to lose a match to someone to put them over, anyone can lose a match to someone, doesn't mean it means anything. Triple H lost to the Brawler, didn't mean shit and didn't put the Brawler over. Chalie Haas loses to everyone, but it doesn't put them over.

Shawn Michaels make everyone he steps in the ring with look like a million dollars and look like they belong with the big boys. If you talk to anyone he's wrestled, most people would say their best match was against Shawn Michaels. That in and of itself puts people over.

The reality is, you can walk in the ring with Shawn Michaels a lower mid carder, and by the end of the match your relevant, and it's up to you and the booking to carry the momentum that he gives you.

I agree with the point that Shawn Michaels is good enough to put someone over without even losing to them. That being said who as Shawn Michaels put over that wasn't already over?

To be fair, in this era; main eventers don't really wrestle undercard guys BUT, Masters, Shelton, Kozlov, both members of Legacy, all looked very credible after matches with Shawn.

And guys who were already over such as Cena, Orton, Batista, etc were carried to their best matches, to the point that even the internet community had to admit the matches were great.

I would argue that Masters and Koslov were never over. Shelton, Ted DiBiase, and Cody Rhodes were put over by Triple H.

Koslov and Masters were credible. They weren't going to make money for the company, and the IWC hated them, but they were marketed well towards the target demographic and I'd say Micheals' match were where that existed most.

And yeah, Hunter may have put them over, but then that died off and Michaels put them over again, which died again. Attribute the need for that to bad booking for the characters. And frankly, especially in Shelton's case, Michaels was the one that made him. The combination of the two def helped, but Michaels was the be all end all to me for him.

I respect what HBK has done in the business and has had some great matches with multiple people. I do enjoy watching some of his matches, but I just don't like him. I hate hearing his gay music when he comes the ring. I would be happy if he just appeared in the ring, maybe cut a quick WWE Shopzone promo, wrestled and left.

I am also not a Bret Hart fan anymore. When he was in the Hart Foundation, he was one of my favorites, but I didn't watch wrestling when he went to singles competition, therefore I don't give a shit who screwed who in the "screwjob". I can't stand the skits right now with him and Vince in the ring. It is just painful. I would like to see him as a GM or a manger, but please no more stupid "car door broke my leg" gimmicks.

It's all debatable.

It's more indicative of the WWE not putting mid carders in with main eventers than Shawn Michaels not wanting to put guys over.

On a side not I think Koslov was put over more by his matches with Triple H and I think Shelton's two wins against Triple H put him over most.

But like I said it's debatable.

HBK did help Shelton with that match but the HHH match put him over more I'd say. Also Shelton got himself solid over in the MITB all by himself

I want him heel one more time. The best ever was mid 90's and the crowd was chanting H B Gay and Shawn stops in the middle of his promo and says "You can ask your mama and your sister if HBK is gay."

If he would ever let loose on the mic again I'd whack off to him.

As a wrestling fan; I simply don't know how to relate to anyone who doesn't like Shawn Michaels. I wouldn't really know how to begin having a conversation with them that pertains to wrestling. It's the same thing with Steve Austin - I was and am now in no way Stone Cold's biggest fan, but I don't even know where to start with a supposed wrestling fan who doesn't like him. I'm not saying that Shawn Michaels has to be in everyone's top 5, though it would personally perplex me to not see him there. But to NOT like him (as a performer not a person)...it's just baffling.

And by the way, I'm a life long and die hard Ric Flair mark, and for what it's worth, I can understand why some people might not like him. I can understand how some might not like Rocky, Jericho, Benoit, Bret, Danielson, any number of Japanese guys, Undertaker, Cena...but to not like Shawn Michaels? I simply don't get it. HBK and Austin - if you can't enjoy them, I don't know how you could enjoy anything that relates to wrestling.

TOVO Fact: Tovo has specific object that he will chew on while working to avoid accidentally chewing on a nasty germ infested pen.

But that's just my point. Jordan is the best basketball player to ever live and Zepplin is considered one of the 5 best bands of all time yet I don't like them. I can recognize how good they are, I just don't like them.
Led Zepplin sucks. Just saying.
