A friend of mine who doesn't follow wrestling at all was talking about catching TNA Impact this weekend.
I was greatly ammused by his thoughts. He mentioned how far they've come, and how they have some "legit guys" now, but then he started in about how fucking horrible Jeff Hardy looked and how his face is melting.

This sounds like some worked comments to me. Matt Hardy is playing y'all.

Drew McIntyre started training when he was 15 years of age in England. Then he moved back to Scotland and spent a few years winning titles over there and in Ireland. During this period he worked with guys such as D'Lo Brown, Mick Foley, Sheamus, Marty Jannetty, The Honky Tonk Man, Tyson Kidd and Takeshi Rikio.

He signed with the WWE in 2007. He has been a part of the WWE for three years. Matt Hardy signed with the WWE in 1998, did he not? Three years after that is 2001. By 2001, Matt Hardy had won numerous Tag Team Championships, a Hardcore Championship and the European Championship. He worked with some of the top stars in the WWE, as well.

McIntyre not paying his dues is pretty much his gimmick. Matt is just playing along. The two work so well together in the ring, too. It would not surprise me if they got along perfectly. Matt and Drew have worked some nice, unique spots into each of their matches.

Very few people in here have actually endorsed the notion that this is a shoot. They're just expressing their opinion that Matt Hardy is a clown shoe, regardless of whether these particular comments are worked or not

I always liked Matt Hardy. He's not only a great wrestler but at least compatent on the mic. He also seems to have a good mind for wrestling. He's gotten over with the crowd on 4 or 5 different occasions and the WWE didn't do anything with him. He's like a less talented Christian in the respect.

This tweet is obviously a work. I agree with whoever said that Matt should start a "tweeting" gimmick.

Matt Hardy is a unique type of wrestler kind of like Rob Van Dam. They guy could be gigantic if he has the right creative mind booking him. Unfortunatlly Matt has never had that creative mind behind him, RVD did.

I'm so hard-up for Tag Team Wrestling it isn't even funny. If TNA were to put their main focus on the tag team division I'd watch them religiously. (They need the Briscoes though)

I think the Matt Hardy ship has long sailed. I do agree that he has somehow kept himself over despite doing nothing of importance after turning on Jeff before Mania 25.

It's sad seeing as they had so many chances to build him up and make him an upper mid card guy who could conceivably get a run for the title. His fued with Edge when he came back should've been his step up to superstardom. His feud with MVP was great, but lead nowhere for either guy in terms of elevation. And his heel, as I've said before in another thread, was aborted almost immediately and never to be mentioned again.

As for the tweet, it's a work. Hopefully this leads to something meaningful for both men, as I like their in ring chemistry.
