Just to be clear, I like the Zelda games and liked the cartoony windwaker, but just thought a "dark" Zelda game would be interesting as well. I am not implying that Nintendo should turn the whole series into that direction, just one game.
And Duke Nukem as Link would be hilarious...love Duke. DNF is one of my fav single player FPS games of the past 5 years, despite the bad reviews.

Except there haven't been thirty years of games.

It's a nice attempt at what passes for "wit" around here, but the Renbu system is more ambitious than anything Zelda has tried since going 3-D, and that was inane and shitty.

The last Zelda anything I bought was Windwaker, and that was a "oh, I still have $14 and Windwaker is going for $14 used. Sweet" kinda purchase. Played it, enjoyed it. Promptly gave it away upon completion (it was scratched and only worked sporadically).

I honestly don't know where you get this Nintendo fan thing, since 99/100 times when I'm gaming I'm playing a 360 game or Tekken 5 on PSP (hilarious, I know, but I only have so much reading material in the john).
