Though it is completely adorable you think killing the only truly mainstream venue of wrestling would lead to mainstream fans going elsewhere, rather than simply going away.

And honestly, I don't see USA scrambling for a replacement unless they can get some guarantee of comparable ratings. That's unlikely from a new program, even one with a history. It'd be easier to run syndicated shows, especially even Raw is no longer the dominant force it once was.

WWE going down would be the effective death knell of pro wrestling in America. Sure, it would survive in some form, but not in this form. And doubtfully on TV.
How is it even logical to assume just because the WWE died due to a shit business decision that all others would follow? TNA does fine "competing" with WWE, losing the competition I'm sure would do wonders for business. And as far as places like ROH, PWG, DGUSA, etc. mainstream fans hardly pay attention to them anyway, why would they possibly be affected? Not hard to imagine after WWE going down some of the smaller promotions doing everything they can to get their name out there.

And I'll agree on USA. Really doubt they'd be scrambling to replace RAW, but they obviously know the value of wrestling. It's unlikely, but they could always get behind another promotion and try to make them seem like the next big thing. RAW is their highest rated program, I doubt they'd be like "oh well" and move on, though that could be exactly what they'd do.

Wrestling wouldn't survive on TV? Don't get that at all. It's already on TV. WWE dying isn't going to encourage people who already watch Impact regularly to give up on wrestling all together, if anything it'd make RAW's former audience more open to watching what's already out there. Most fans out there now have been watching since they were kids, they're not gonna just drop off totally. They won't ALL seek out alternatives, but at least some will.

Loss of WWE for any reason would harm other prospectives. I'm sorry, but it's a real issue.

And yes, without WWE on TV, there will be repercussions to other televised wrestling. Once the momentum is lost, it's lost. Oh no, there's already TNA! A show that keeps waffling between the red and the black and isn't a significant ratings draw....

So the plan is someone from this site win enough money in the lottery to have a good shot of taking this thing if something happens.

Fuck I'm in.
