Lawler may have been a "legit" wrestler, but Cole has never stepped outside of his capacity level for a fight. He thought Lawler was washed up, and was proven wrong. J.R. is an even more logical beef for him. Even when Daniel Bryan got in his face on NXT, he was petrified. I think he's just a very good heel.
