M83 is creeping its way up my list after listening to it 293 times driving through epic mountain passes and snowy forests / snowboarding down said mountain at 50 mph
Noticing a lot more themes that run current throughout the album (musical, not lyrical..no idea what he is saying really)...the interludes actually do what interludes are supposed to do, which is rare in most albums "nowadays". It actually works as a double album, with each taking on its own personality. Damn, yeah. Like it a lot. |

czeching out this m83 stuff because of this thread and seeing the name knocking around a bit recently, I do already feel like 8% happier after listening to this Midnight City song/first one after the intro

Finally gave the new M83 a listen, and yeah, it's pretty bloody good. Overall TPWW album of the year?
Since I've still hardly bothered to listen to a lot of new releases this year, mine is Thrice - Major/Minor. |

Go back and listen to Before 'The Dawn Heals Us' and 'Saturdays = Youth'. Been into M83 for ages, going to see him next month, should still have the same lineup, so I'll use "them" actually.
Amazing work. I'm the resident M83 nut and also Laser likes M83 too. |

fakelaser how can you listen to so much music. are you a hipster who does that to look cool or do you actually enjoy and appreciate all that music? but then thats too much you will damage your hearing. you gotta slow down

I don't think I can think of an album that came out this year that I 'loved'. I probably didn't pay enough attention to a lot of stuff that came out and there was barely any bands that I really like who put out stuff that caught my ear.
Maybe the new Puscifer album but I haven't really heard it all yet. |
