Just found out that Thomas Newman does the music for the new Bond; it is worth seeing just for that.

Great film. Reminded me a lot of The Dark Knight.

So I went and saw this midnight showing and I have to say just a amazing movie. I would have to say the best bond move I have ever seen, and I have seen them all. Daniel Craig such a amazing actor . 5/5 for this movie.

Also have to give props to Adele for the opening song, as I have never heard any of her music before, she has a amazing voice and the song that she wrote and performed actually does great justice to this movie

Saw it over the weekend. Great movie. Loved the call backs to much earlier Bond movies.

I've seen a lot of Bond movies, but I'm far from an expert. I caught a few of the references to older movies, but I'm sure I missed a ton more:

- Q's "exploding pen" joke was a GoldenEye reference
- The Aston-Martin
- The Walther PPK

Plus, all the Bond trademarks ("Bond. James Bond" and the bartender shaking his martini)

What else was there?

Also, I LOVED Skyfall. Fantastic movie, and my new favorite Bond. Plus, Adele's theme shoots right up there with Live And Let Die and The World Is Not Enough as my favorite Bond theme songs.

Bought You Only Live Twice on Blu-Ray at Best Buy and it had a free ticket Skyfall. Only paid like $10 for it. Gonna try to see during the weekend if it's not a mad house at the theater.

The comment about going back to the old way (Throwing knife) I think was a reference to an older film.

Saw it last week, absolutely fantastic bond movie. Probably the best for the last 5-10 in my opinion.

Palm reading gun - Licence to Kill
"Be careful of what you wish for" - Quantum of Solace (Greene says the same line)
Bond, tied to a chair, with Silva - Casino Royale (torture scene)
Silva next to fallen statue - GoldenEye
Train top fight - Octopussy
Shower sex scene - AVTAK (right?)
Secluded villain's island - Dr. No / TMWTGG

Also, at the end, M's office looked like the "classic" version, with the padded red door.

Finally got around to seeing this.

Damn fine job by Sam Mendes directing. And Daniel Craig saved his ass as Bond with this installment. Alot of people were doubting him after Quantum. Same goes to Naomie Harris. Ninja Assassin didn't do her any favors.
