They had that opportunity with him in the chamber last year.. I'm a santino mark.. Never flustered on the mic, always sharp, witty, funny, and entertaining. I don't think so. His current gimmick shouldn't be anywhere near the main event (not long-term at least). He's a clumsy, idiotic, lovable loser. But the man himself is ridiculously talented.

I had the idea a while back for someone like William Regal to become an on-screen mentor to Santino and teach him how to actually fight. Then have him come back after months of training vignettes (Which would probably be comedy gold. I mean... Regal and Santino. COME ON.) and have him slowly actually be able to beat people's ass in the ring like in that video all while still being a massive idiot once the match is over.

You get to keep the goofy charm that makes people love him while actually having him contribute as a wrestler too.
