One time I decided to record an "In Your House" on SP because it was only 2 hours long and I wanted it to be top quality. But then I got cocky and decided to record the Free For All as well forgetting that I was all set on SP. I learned a lesson when the tape cut off and started rewinding itself halfway through Diesel vs. Sid.

You let the VCR rewind it? Dude, not supposed to that. Gotta get a VCR rewinder. Don't want your VCR breaking.

I still refuse to tape over my November 1997 edition of Monday Nitro because of the epic Disorderly Conduct vs Steiner Brothers tag team bonanza!

Yeah that was a classic. Just a month before that in October. I went to the Saginaw civic cenTER to see a nitro. It was awesome. NWO did something and lex Luger over sold moves probably. We sat 4th row and even though we were underage we got bottle service. Bro.

I remember when my dad took me and my bro Alvin to a WWF Live event in like 96. I was 4 or 5, my bro was 10, and we were hooked up with bottle service all night bro. By the time the main event was up I was fist pumping SO HARD to Big Daddy Cool Diesel's theme.

Was just about to say SummerSlam 2001 is one of my favourite shows. Then realised it was actually the one from the year before.

Lesnar vs. Rock, for some reason, feels like it happened in a different world to anything else. But SummerSlam 2002 was such a fantastic PPV. Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio, Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H...enough said right there.

Perfectplex for the win. And Axel holds the bridge pretty well too.

So odd to think it's rumored Rock-Lesnar could happen this year at SummerSlam as well.

SmackDown was pretty good. Curtis Axel is growing on me and The Shield continue to be awesome. Dean Ambrose made me care about a Randy Orton match. Daniel Bryan tearing it up at the end made me want to see Ambrose vs. Bryan for the US Title. It wouldn't seem to make much sense, but I wouldn't mind it if Dean Ambrose vs. Daniel Bryan for the US Title and Kane & Orton challenging The Shield happened at Payback. Bryan could complain that Kane teaming with Orton is a sign that he doesn't trust him to win the titles back.
Ryback putting Kofi Kingston through three tables was pretty intense. Is it weird that my initial thought was that I could see Kofi Kingston could return and take issue with Cena not being there to protect him? Since they've essentially said that regardless of the first two falls, the Ambulance Match will still happen, you could have Cena win the Lumberjack Match (after everyone gets a measure of revenge on Ryback and beats him up and tosses him to Cena), win the Tables Match (to officially retain the title) and then have it look like he's about to win the Ambulance Match when Kofi Kingston -- dressed as a paramedic -- attacks Cena and then tosses him in. A lot of people won't like Ryback losing so decisively, and I guess the moment would mean a lot more of Kofi cost Cena the WWE Title, but I kind of feel like Ryback shouldn't be champion. |
