I think it's specious to be honest. The story was the athleticism and the surrealism of the match.

I just hope the same people giving that match a hard time wouldn't praise a match like Hayabusa and Shinzake vs Sabu and RVD

I thought this match was sweet, but I'm not one of these orthodox wrestling fans who thinks wrestling has to be this one thing. I think the problem with this style is a lot of guys can't pull it off, but I thought this match was crisp and all the spots while elaborate were convincing.

I was impressed, they showed me all they brought to the table, and it was an exciting contest.

The bad thing is, because they showed me all they brought to the table, I have no reason to ever see them wrestle again.

To think that's all they can ever do is somewhat naive. I think Austin hit the nail on the head with the match.

And once again.... those kicks were lame as fuck. Hate kicks to the back, super lame... supposed to be like a "real fight" but it just looks bush league as fuck.

I appreciate that just because guys work a spotfest doesn't mean that's all they can work. I've heard that Will Ospreay had great matches with Kyle O'Reilly and KUSHIDA during the tournament too. Ricochet is also apparently awesome all-round.

The same thing goes in reverse though -- just because guys don't show you stuff doesn't mean they can't do it. Heath Slater, for example, is 100x better than people give him credit for.

Eric Escobar is a fan too. But not of Sheamus. The obvious conclusion here is that there is no red-head bias and Slater is obviously a mega-talent.
