I wanted to include Heyman and Ventura, just didn’t have room. I wish I had a better gauge on Bockwinkel too.

You know what would be better? A Top Talkers series of threads where a top talker gets discussed, their stuff shared, business metrics can be discussed, and people can share their thoughts and memories of the talker.

I think Bray Wyatt, purely as a talker and especially for his era, is fucking incredible. I just couldn’t consider him for the top 10 because the lack of longevity and the lack of impact that the era has afforded his promos.

![]() 10. Coming in at Number 10, it's... a tie! Which technically means these two men are actually coming in together at number 9! Which is a great way to start a top 10 list! But I'm not worried about it, because this tie is an All-American tie. First, we have the American Dream, it's SPOILER: show Followed by a true American hero, Your Olympic Hero, it's SPOILER: show 7.Alright, now that we've got the ties out of the way, coming in at number 7 is... another tie. God dammit. Coming in at number 7 is a guy who claims he's the best in the world at what he does, but according to you guys he's only tied for 7th best at it, it's SPOILER: show And also coming in at number 7, the man who as soon as you know the answer, he changes the question, which I believe is cheating, it's SPOILER: show 6. Ladies and Gentlemen, our number 6 entry is our 1st manager to appear on our list, and also our 1st advocate, it's SPOILER: show 5.Our number 5 entry on the list is a man of many faces, and all of those faces can cut one hell of a promo, it's SPOILER: show 4. Our number 4 entry always wowed us on the mic, and whether as a manager or commentator, in WWF or WCW, he always managed to weasel his way into our hearts, it's SPOILER: show 3.Coming in at number 3, it's a man so popular, so captivating, so charming, so authentic, so beloved that you forget that he created a catchphrase that single handedly ruined everybody else's promos for the next 20 years, it's SPOILER: show 2. We're down to our final 2, and after reading this list you probably have a good idea of who the top 2 talkers in wrestling are. But you're not sure of the order. Who do you think is at number 2? IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU THINK!. Coming in at number 2 is SPOILER: show 1. And finally, our number 1 wrestling talker of all time as chosen by you, TPWW, is of course SPOILER: show Thank you to everyone who voted. Did we get it right? Did we get it wrong? Let us know. A new topic will be posted shortly. |

Rock should be lower. He's great, no doubt, but a lot of his promos were just repeating the same catch phrases. Feel like there were other people who were better at grabbing people's emotions and selling the audience on whatever feud they were in.

Pretty shit list, to be honest. TPWW sucks when it comes to having good opinions. There are better promos who have legitimately made money that have been left off this list. How the fuck is Jericho better than Dusty Rhodes?

If people are being sticklers for the wording though, Rock could definitely be considered one of the greatest talkers but not nearly top 10 at cutting a promo.

We kinda take “Austin 3:16” as just a simple catchphrase that caught on nowadays but saying “Talk about your Psalms, talk about your John 3:16. Austin 3:16 says I just whipped your ass.” to a guy with a “reborn Christian” gimmick is so fucking good. What other catchphrase can be pinpointed to a specific promo? And then he was able to evolve from that. I couldn’t have been mad if Austin had won this.

For those of you wondering, 60% of Noid’s nominations made the final Top Ten which he calls a “pretty shit list”
Noid doesn’t hate wrestling, he just hates himself. |
