I am sord of glad the fans aren't embracing him as a face so quick.. Randy is by far a heel from all the way back when he used to have the RNN reports the people always booed him. He just has the attitude of being the best (because he is now) and he will never fit a face. But the whole Evolution thing needs to change. They have to turn against Triple H, and then have Randy Orton become the super heel. But I doubt that will happen.

I am on my hands and knees praying to the wrestling gods for it to happen at Unforgiven.

Thats exactly why he isn't over, and never will succeed as a top babyface.

Well, ya know, even Stone Cold didn't go single-handedly against a huge group. Remember the SD! when he was hunting DX? He trapped them one at a time, and at the end, when he threatened to go against all of them, he snared them in a net trap. Even Stone Cold didn't go fighting millions of people at a time.

Just give him time and he'll evolve. No one's character is perfect. I don't think Rocky Maivia would have become a top character, but over time, he evolved into The Rock, right?

So just have patience.

At Unforgiven, I'd like either one of these things to happen:

1. Randy Orton decides that fighting against Evolution is not worth it, and lies down for Triple H. Maybe Orton could lower himself for The Pedigree as a tribute to Triple H. I could really see Evolution starting a Pedigree Punishment thing. Anyway, from their Orton would either rejoin Evolution as a heel, or Triple H wouldn't except Orton and continue feuding with him.

2. Randy Orton wins and Evoultion betrays Triple H. Simple as that, Triple H is now face, and Orton is now the heel champ.

3. Randy Orton wins the match, then Triple H gets signed for a another title match at Taboo Tuesday. Sometime ebfore the match, Ric Flair and Batista approach Triple H and say that if Orton wins tonight, he has proved he is the present of the WWE, and Evolution will defect to his side. Then enter option 1. or 2.
The last thing you need is the champion lying down for the Challenger in the Main of Event of a Pay Per View.

HHH also sucks as a face pure and simple.

That's the last thing the fans will want to see. As long as Orton laying down for Triple H isn't the only storyline progressment of the night, people will tune in next week, for Orton and Triple H to get booed out of the building.

Think about! You advertise this showdown between forme friends as the main event, so people pay 35 dollars to see it (not to mention the people there love) and what happens instead of a main event ou get a 30 second angle. Stupid stupid idea for a PPV.

It won't only be Randy Orton and HHH getting booed it'll be the entire WWE.

Plus it makes absolutey no sense. Maybe if Evolution hadn't destroyed Orton thatfirst night to the point of bleeding, maybe if they hadn't already run a you lie down for me angle and maybe if it was on Raw instead of a PPV but as it is it would be a stupid angle that would just send us back to square one.

I agree, people would feel ripped off, but marks would boo Orton for betraying them, and smarks never really wanted to see the match anyway (they felt it was too soon). This builds up heat (major heat), and it doesn't necissarily take us back to square one. The fans have seen the tension that lies between Orton and Triple H. If they keep Orton at Hunter's level, the fans are going to be anticipating their "egos to explode" and when it does I think it will be huge. I agree many people will go home pissed, but if the WWE delivers with the Ladder Match, etc. the fans would go home fulfilled to a certain extent.

Actually he did, a lot of times. You probably didn't watch in 97, but he was fighting of the Hart Foundation 5 on 1 a lot of times. And remember during the Alliance era when Stone Cold came back on that Raw and was the "old" Stone Cold again? He came in and fought off like 30 guys. Unreal.

Cruiserweight 3:16 does not have that much rep yet (10+)
I don't think Randy Orton's face turn is a flop. After watching Raw last night, the crowd seemed really into Orton, especially when he jumped over the cage and escaped from Evolution and Kane - which isn't exactly the type of reaction you'd expect from the crowd for the top babyface, but then again he's not being booked to look like the next Hogan or Austin.

Randy Orton's doing his own thing and it's working for now. However, I believe the way the WWE have gone and done this storyline is a flop because in the long-term, I can't see how this is gonna help him be a solidified babyface main-eventer.

Yeah, Austin, Rock, Hogan, Sting, Goldberg (hmmm, they all drew) all used to fight their way through all kinds of unrealistic situations. Thats a big part of what makes a strong babyface, they do the impossible. A guy who does the very posisble isn't someone that will draw any money, its just a fact.

I'm with him. WWE isn't supposed to be realistic. These guys are supposed to be like superheroes. They're supposed to be almost mythical. They're supposed to be the stuff legends are made of. If I wanted realistic heroes, I'd go and hang out with firemen or police or something. I want abnormally buffed up guys that can walk into a ring and totally clean house. Even if he's NOT an unstoppable monster, he's not supposed to be a normal guy. He's supposed to be strong. Intelligence isn't something generally admired in professional wrestling. Even if he's not a hoss, he needs to be a bad ass. He needs to be cocky, yes, because that's Orton--but he also needs to be able to back it up.
