It does seem like a waste to build Hardy up only to have him not win, but with Victory Road coming, it's probable that either Hardy or Brown will go over there. Unfortunately, it will probably be Hardy...or Brown. I'm fine with Styles back in the X Division, so I don't think Styles should get back in the world title hunt. He looks to be starting a program with Petey Williams soon(where he'll probably win the X title again at Victory Road). Raven is the obvious choice to take the belt from Jeff "Give Me The Belt Even Though I'm Really Not That Talented And There's So Many Other Deserving People On The TNA Roster" Jarret.
Hardy's not deserving. Sorry to all those stoners out there who look up to Hardy, but just because he was involved in the TLC tag title match at WrestleMania(I'm not sure which one it was), doesn't make him a good wrestler. So who do I think should take the belt from Jarret? To be blunt, Raven. I think Raven definitely deserves the belt right about now. Putting the belt on Raven's waist right now would help TNA so much in my opinion. I'd love to see Raven holding the belt each week on Impact instead of Jarret...or Hardy...or Monty Brown...or Abyss...or...anyone. |

Now to be honest I'm not a huge Hardy fan but I'm calling it as I see it and I think that the last weekly PPV of TNA would have been a good place to start a new breed of champion. And they built Hardy up enough to do that and to do it credibly then they shat all over that buildup silly them.
Quite frankly he is not as horible (sp?) as he is made out to be by some and he would have made a good transition champion to put the belt on Raven or Brown as they seem so determinded to do. And also he can put together a good match if he has a good opponent and if he has the incentive and what better incentive than to be a main player in the next big company. |

You guys don't get it. Deserving or not, Hardy brings in the fans. That's what TNA NEEDS RIGHT? FANS. I don't care if he's the worst wrestler on the planet. Fact is, he puts people in the seats at TNA. He should of won the Belt.

Well, they claim to have the lineage of the old NWA title from the 1980s and before.

LC I do get you thats what I am trying to argue by saying he had a good build and would have been credible.
Plus he has name value from his WWE tenure and he could have realy shone the spotlight on Raven or Styles or Brown or whoever they decide to push next by jobbing to them. |

Well, I've never thought Hardy was good in my book. I thought he was a waste of space in WWE, and he's a waste of space in TNA. Sure, he brings the fans in(as well as teenage girls who don't even watch wrestling, but watch Impact because Hardy is "hot"), but in my view, you have to be a good wrestler to earn any belt. Hardcore titles are the exception.
But with a world heavyweight title as pristegious as NWA's, putting it on Hardy is just plan horrible. That belt has so much history, and putting it around Hardy's waist is a bad decision when you have guys like Raven waiting in the wings. |

Jeff Jarrett isn't wordl championship material, and yet he's had that title more than anyone else, so.
Anyway that whole "world champions need to be good workers" is faulty at best. Most people would say Hulk Hogan was a horrible worker int he ring, but only 1 or 2 guys have ever drawn more money than him. Austin was a better wrestler in the early/mid 90s than he was in the late 90s/early 2K when he was drawing huge money. Its a business, you have to do what will draw the people, Jarrett has proven time and again he cant do that, so why keep sticking with him? (note: I know the answer to the question, no need to point it out) |
