Absolutely no comparison is there?!?

Still, I'd like to keep the discussions I proposed about possible storylines involving the Harts and possible new members to the Foundation alive if I can. You know my views, now lets hear yours ...

The Cabinet sucks.

The Hart Foundation was old school at its best.

That's to Fabien Barthez BTW
Oh, god, Obviously talent-wize The HF were easily the best talent ever grouped into a stable.

The comparison I was making is that towards the end, they were not wrestling high profile matches and just followed Bret around, doing run ins and not much more.

I think the reason for this was Vince knew he would have to disband the Hart Foundation once Bret left, so in getting the heat off the other members by not having them as involved in storylines than Bret was as Champion, he could do it more easliy after Bret's departure. As it was though he obviously didn't need to. As suggested by KayfabeMan though, if Bret's departure had been amicable, Owen would have filled the role of World Champion adequately and, in my view, could also have been a more than competent leader of the stable.

Unfortunately, HBK was the apple of Vince's eye, pretty much like Triple H is now, and he wanted to push DX, whose promos were far better than their in-ring ability.

With regards to watching a good match, I'd much rather watch the Hart Foundation any day of the week.

A few months ago at a UCW show. I can't remember who he teamed with, but he was in a tag match. He also trained with us the same week.

Yeah... I've also wrestled with/trained with Raven, AJ Styles, CM Punk and a few overs. Doug Williams is our current World Champion, whilst Johnny Storm is our current Lightweight Champion.

We've got Hade Vansen or whatever his name is booked for our next show.

Thanks.

I have to agree with the stuff you said above. After Bret's leaving WWF, the Hart Foundation were forced into floundering roles. Owen took that time off, and Neidhart was pretty much mocked before going to Turner Land. Shame that he killed the stable, as that was the most opportune time to create a major player in Owen Hart, but - as you said - Shawn was given the push instead.

I recently watched the Confidential episode about the Screwjob (for the first time, I have to add) and I marked out. I am embarrassed to say that I never knew HBK was in on it. The only 'evidence' I had seen at the time was Wrestling with Shadows, and various reports floating round the internet.

Quote:
Bret Hart: Shawn, you weren't in on that?

Shawn Michaels: No! As God is my witness.
I think I might have to post something about this in the Wrestling section, get a discussion going.

It wasn't like they didn't want to push Owen at first. It was Michaels and Hunter point blank refusing to put him over.

I dunno about Hunter. It wasn't as if he was bigger than Owen at that point in time. He was lucky to be hanging around HBK otherwise he'd still be the drifter he always was. I think he and Owen actually could get along in any case. HBK on the other hand was a prick of epic proportions.

That's WWE's fault. They allow the children to run Neverland Ranch

Michaels' ass was on the way out anyway, and his popularity was slipping away from him. They should have put their foot down on him, and reminded him about who runs the company. I think Owen could've done better for business than Shawn.

You don't know about HHH? Let me clear it up then. Shawn Michaels was told to drop the European title clean to Owen Hart in order to set up a world title program. Michaels point blank refused. He decided to drop the title to HHH in that "fake" match who would then drop the title clean to Owen Hart. Only he refused too. Owen then beat Dustin Runnells dressed as HHH for the title. And then Owen had to drop the belt back to a guy who refused to put him over to start with.
