My expertise of hockey is far too great not to be in the main league. Consider me in.

Or what we could do is do a head to head league. 2 of them and then the overall winner of the 2 leagues is the one who has the best record.

Some different things there. I tried to keep it down to 10 categories for points every week, so I took Shutouts out. IMO they don't happen frequently enough for it to really warrant an entire category for it (same could be said about SHP, so again it's all open for debate). You'll still essentially get credit for shutouts via the GAA and save% numbers, you just won't get an instant "I win" point if you get a shutout one week. More fair that way I think, but if enough people want it I'll throw them in.


Anyway, gonna do the league on an invite-only basis, so PM me or MSN me or something if you're interested and I'll toss you the pass if I feel you'll actually compete in the league well... don't want guys that show up for the draft then neglect their team.

As RDD said, the league I've created, it's setting are open to change and debate. RDD did you want to take part in my league or...? I'd willingly be in yours. However take other people over me first that are known contributors.

I haven't started setting up a league but I would love to try to do a points (rotis) league like I did the last time.

Please message me if you'd be interested in doing something like this and I will start one if there's enough interest, instead of trying to get people to join like I had to do with the football one.

Well between your league and another league I've joined plus this one, I will be in three. If I hear back from someone I will be full for this year. If not, I may try to kick someone's ass in a public league if we don't have another person start a league here.

A points league has about 10 or so categories, and each team is ranked 1-10. So lets say there are 10 people in your league, and you have the 6th most goals scored. Then you would get 6 points. You add up the number of points you have in each category to get your score. So by day you could go up 3, down 2 ect.

A head to head league is where you actually play another team. Say an assist is worth 2 points, goal is worth 3, a save is worth 1, or what have you. You add up your teams total stats from the week, and compare it to the person you are playing. LIKE A REAL GAME. If you have more points at the end of the week you get a win. So you get a W/L record throughout the year.

Hard to explain but once you get in a league you'll see what I'm saying
