Sorry if it hasn't been mentioned, but Vince is afraid of TNA. He knows that they are going to succeed and that is the reason why he's filing these lawsuits.

I wouldn't say afraid. He has more than enough money and creative talent to reign supreme for years. I think he certainly is aware and cautious of TNA - he'll be watching very closely and picking up on TNA's weaknesses over the next few weeks and trying to exploit them as much as possible.
Perhaps he'll even watch Impact and realise his own products' weaknesses, and improve Raw and Smackdown as a result. |

I was ranting.lol I wish I was young again. when i was 12 macho and hogan were in millwaukee right when they split to start the wm v feud. I saw macho slap hogan to actually start the fewd. they were in a tag match and liz got ko'd hogan picked her up ran her to the back to get medical attention and macho was outmatched being 2 on 1 and when hogan got back they argued and savage bitchslapped the hell out of hogan. I was a HUGE macho mark. my bro liked hogan...ooh my god the whole ride home I let him have it! he had the last laugh at wm v though.

just because you use big words, doesn't mean you're intellegent. its actually when you have self esteem issues, you want to use these words to berate fellow posters in an attempt to make yourself feel powerful. I infact post with ease and carelessness because I have no issues with myself or need to berate anyone else for personal pleasure/ego/esteem.

Now, let's deal with this all one thing at a time... Vince McMahon Fears TNA because he doesn't like them using the term Superstar. No. Let me say that again. No. One more time. No. Here is where you guys need to quite getting ahead of yourself. TNA on Spike TV pulled in a what? Less then a .80 in ratings. That is about what WWF Metal/Jakked used to score. Less then the lowest WCW Thunder or Nitro rating EVER. Less then HeAT or Velocity scores usually. You are telling me Vince McMahon fears them? No. Now the legal team at Titan Towers I am sure are just sitting around waiting to slap a law suit on TNA for anything they do wrong...and why is that? Because WWE spent time and money making sure that names like "Billy Gunn" and "Superstar" became synonymous with WWE. They also spent money making sure they took already established names like "The Dudley Boys" and in the minds of marks (who primarily only watch WWE) make the name Dudley well known only as WWE Superstars. You know how I know Vince McMahon wants his boys in the locker room to be known as superstars and not wrestlers? He doesn't allow them to be called wrestlers. They are "WWE Superstars" because that is what his vision is. Now he has spent time and money again making sure they are known as such, making sure that if they are a white rapper they get a record deal, if they want to act they get to be in a movie. His idea for his boys is to not be seen as Wrestlers but be seen as media Superstars. So let him have his god damned word, TNA prides themselves on being less about talk and more about action? Then call your guys wrestlers, because before Vince McMahon came along, no one would have ever thought to call a wrestler a Superstar, he created that idea...let him have it. All that having been said, I doubt as though Vince even knew that TNA were calling them superstars until someone on the legal team pointed it out. He signs some letter that some secretary wrote up, and probably didn't think about TNA again for the rest of the day. Jerry Jarrett owns TNA. False. Jerry Jarrett (owner) and Jeff Jarrett (President) of Jarrett Entertainment, created TNA, however neither man has any ownership of the company anymore. On a side note, Jerry Jarrett poses no threat to Vince McMahon. It has been very well known for quite a while that Jerry isn't a wise business man, nor is he very good at promoting...he got where he is today because of the success HIS parents had as promoters. Jerry is little more then a pawn of everyone around him, and while it is true Vince was going to hand WWE over to Jerry if he went to jail, it was with the expectation that Jerry be little more then a figure head until Vince came back...which is what he wanted. Vince doesn't fear Jerry Jarrett. vampiro03 You are a twat. When you say you were twelve when Macho and Hogan...that would mean that today you would be somewhere around the 28 candle mark, and yet you still seem to struggle with spelling words like "Feud/Fewd" right. You can't seem to make a post without pissing on the very concept of grammar. And while I am at it, I might as well point out that your threat to "rank right back", assuming you meant in terms of neg repping people since that was what you had been ranting about the whole time up until then, is useless. You see when you have a neg rep, the forum assumes you are nothing more then a twat (please note my first sentence) and doesn't allow you the ability to rep other people. Kind of the people upstairs way of evening everything out, normal people have to put up with you, but you can rep anyone. Oh and my final thought on this, your aren't getting those "red squares" because you disagree with KK, how many times have I gone over this, me and Kane Knight disagree on almost everything, yet I don't know if there has been one person who has given me more rep then him. Disagreement and discussion are why people come here, to talk. But you seem to have no interest in talking, and in fact you become the verbal tyrant first in most cases that I have seen. Actually RoadWarrior...he doesn't even own 49%. He owns x amount of the stock of the company, which is kind of pointless as they have no intentions of taking TNA public anytime soon...but his percent isn't even enough to warrent control. I think for most companies if you have 20% stock in a company you have some for of control over the product, and I know for a fact that Jerry doesn't even have that much.

The One, your points are very valid, but might I suggest Vince considers TNA a potential future threat and all his lawsuits are meant, not only to protect his own property (Dudleyz, which he obviously created and came up with, and Superstars, which is such an original term that only he could have possibly coined), but also to make sure that TNA stays where it is: a .8-rated program deep into the Saturday late-night slot on his former network. He doesn't consider TNA a threat, but he considers it a possible threat if he doesn't clamp down on them soon enough.
Now, sure, Team 3-D made just as much of a splash as The Dudley Boyz would have, but you've got to admit that Vince seems to be taking preventative measures, no? |
