Oh and this isn't very important, but PullMyFinger, you mentioned that alot of people didn't watch TNA on FSN so that was the reason Sting didn't make a huge impact (no pun intended)...actually Sting was around only for 3 episodes (if memory serves correctly) and those were back during the weekly Wednesday PPV...so bringing in Sting may actually be quite good for him since he does have a large cult fallowing, and he would appear on national television instead of a PPV that most wrestling fans didn't know exsisted.

Wow that was one long ass run on sentence. On to my thoughts.

TNA bringing in big new names. Let me sum up what I am thinking about that in one word. "KER-PLOP". Terrible. TNA is not at a point that they can afford to bring in large names and keep them. Hence why companies that DO (World Wrestling AllStars, along with a handful of others) fucking sink fast. Yeah they may gain some attention, but if a mark is tunning in to see Bill Goldberg...and they get to see him for 2 weeks before he takes off, said mark is going to be pissed. It makes them look like a small little worthless sack of shit company that can't hold on to their stars. Plus, it's hard to shovel out half a million Goldberg T-Shirts in two weeks, which let's call a spade a spade, Merch is where the Pro Wrestling money is. Well that and ticket sales. TNA simply can NOT afford to have wrestlers who ask for huge numbers per appearence. And not many big name stars want to sign contracts with them. On top of that Big names stars have one thing in common aside from their quest for the fattest pay check...they WILL NOT LAY DOWN. So you feed them David Young or Sunjay Dutt, but who gives a shit. Fans want to see the money makers. They want to see how TNA's biggest names (AJ Styles) stack up against the biggest names (Goldberg)...Nobody, and I mean nobody is going to tune in to see Goldberg face Sunjay Dutt, now they might if he was going on a streak again, but TNA can't afford the time or money to being in countless small time names for him to squash. So in order to make a dime off of Goldberg being in the company they need to face him with Styles, with Monty Brown, with TNA's home grown boys...no factor in Goldberg won't lay down, add in the fact that Goldberg is signed for a 4 show deal, and you have Goldberg beating Dutt, Young, Shark Boy, and then Monty Brown and never being heard from again. Yeah, that makes people want to watch more.

Oh I see. Nonetheless though, we both can agree that due to their circumstances before, no way could Sting have had a big impact back then compared to now.

There's also an issue of cost-effectiveness.

TNA's not worth a huge amount of money right now. If they gave it more, it'd probably end up like WCW.

The reason people boo him is because he was a big name. ONCE. Fifteen years ago. IN MEMPHIS.

Role in TNA: ALWAYS HOLDING WORLD TITLE. Company is in rut.

He's on top of the mountain because of political pull. They want to bring in ratings, get him out of the Main Event. Discuss how they want the fans to cheer who they want, when they want. And, most importantly, get the fans into the WORKERS. Why does Joe and Daniels not get along?

I don't car why they boo him. Alls I care about is that they boo him. Heat is heat, and willing to believe that people would pay to see Jarret loose/get his ass kicked. He's the best heel that they have right now (might be their only heel) and until they get someone else over (Raven would probably the only only guy they could get over to Jarret's level) Double J needs to stay on top.

Getting booed doesn't equal ticket sales (I know they're not charging right now, but it's part of the point), ratings, PPV sales or merchandise. You should care why they boo him.

And frankly, if the best heel heat they get is X-Pac heat, they deserve to die.
