The bug scene was pretty stupid. I don't know it didn't really have much relevance and bugs are fucking gross.

I really enjoyed it, overall. Yes, there were some small things that detracted but it was a very solid movie. I liked some of the smaller subtleties in the dialogue, like when they're trying to find a leading lady and Denham suggests "Fay" and Preston mentions she's busy working for RKO - this is obviously a reference to Fay Wray working on the original King Kong movie for RKO pictures around the time this movie was set.
![]() Little things like that always enhance movies for me, for some reason. |

I thought it was as boring as bat shit, seriously it was shit. Three hours of utter bollocks. Thank Christ it was free or I'd want double my money back.

Just saw it. Liked it a lot. Yeah, few small problems with it here and there, nothing too drastic.

I was so disapointed. I thought it was good until they found the dinosaurs. After that, the fighting scenes with the dinosaurs and the bugs seemed almost endless. I don't think that Jackson was focusing enough on the characters.

I liked it.
What does one expect in a King Kong movie?.. It delivered what it went out to do. I read some people say it's too long. Others say not enough character building. Weird how the same movie can have those differing opinions. The longer scenes really build up the character's struggles and their overall interaction with each other. The characters were built up perfectly for this type of movie. The star afterall is Kong. |

Finally got round to seeing this today and completly loved it. The little kid they find has to be tied with creepiest child in a movie, the other would be the young girl in Dawn of the Dead remake.
I loved the scenes between Kong and Ana, and how the two big scenes with them reflected upon each other. I'm talking about when they are sitting up on the cliff edge, looking at the sunset and then get attacked by the bat-things, and the one when they are sitting on the Empire State building, looking at the sunset, then get attacked by the planes. It was like they had that connection no matter where in the world they were, which I thought it was pretty sweet Had some dick head 8 year olds sitting behind me talking all the way through, which ruined the tender moments of the film completly. The mum didn't do anything. Eventually I turned round and told them to shut the fuck up, only for the mum to start shouting at me and then getting herself kicked out the cinema. Stupid bitch, she should control her kids more. |

Saw it yesterday....wow.
Only thing that got me was the bug scenes. I hate bugs...specially giant ones. |

I saw it a few days ago and thought it was quite good. I agree with everyone else who said that 3 hours was far too long and that it could have been cut down to 2-and-a-half or even 2 hours. However overall it was good.

I saw it. It was good I guess but I think they could've saved a lot of money by replacing some of the scenes with more Naomi Watts dramatic stare scenes.

great movie and very very well done. Peter Jackson and his crew are the best movie makers today
not better than LOTR but still good |

the bug stuff was pretty creepy but the action sequences got dragged out far to long for me. plus it suffered from the LOTR thing where it could've ended about 4 times before it actually did.
