Plot Summary

A mysterious and powerful hero of the classic kind, Buddy is as skilled with his guitar as he is with his samurai sword. Thrown together with a kid whom he saves in a spectacular battle, the two of them must now escape their enemies and reach "Lost Vegas," the rock 'n' roll capital of this future world.

In a post-apocalyptic world where the Russians have taken over a nuked USA and Elvis is king of Lost Vegas, "Six-String Samurai" chronicles the tale of Buddy (Jeffrey Falcon), a hero who's a '50s rocker and wandering warrior rolled into one, too-cool package. Armed with his six-string in one hand and his sword in the other, Buddy is on his way to Vegas to succeed Elvis as King. Along the way, he saves an orphan (Justin McGuire) who decides to play tag-along to his rescuer. What follows is the road trip from hell.

I welled up at the end of The Jacket, probably because the song was just right for the ending.

To be honest, as much as I liked the film, I'm starting to ask myself just how much the feeling of loving it came from the song at the end kicking in.

I watched it again with my dad, and he watched the credits all the way througn like I did, so I think maybe the soundtrack choice had a big influence.

When I watch movies by myself I get emotional. So a lot of movies will get me "misty eyed" I guess the term is. Ones like Braveheart and Gladiator etc., they do it everytime.

The only movie that I ever completely shed tears on though, is Prefontaine. When they are driving the coffin around the track. The first couple times I didn't understand, but now it gets me every time.

I just watched Gladiator (this thread gave me the idea) and it was the first time that I remember ever focusing on the whole movie, but it brought out different emotions in me. The only part that made me close to being "misty eyed" was in the end, when he was laying on the sand and she was talking to him. Overall a spectacular movie though, I never realized how good it is.

I think million dollar baby had me more of a pissed of misty eyed reaction due to the other boxer getting no punishment what so ever, and showed no sympathy, more of a "WHAT-THE-FUCK" sort of teary eyed.

other then that..

I deeply sobbed at the end of Revenge Of The Sith(:foc: , I don't care what anyone says, it's WAAAYYY better than ESB) for two reasons. The end of the saga(for now) and seeing Anakin engulfed in flames and Vader's first appearence.

And, no, before you ask, I don't see arty crap like Million Dollar Baby.

I Havent cried because of a movie, I feel my emotions are fucked right now, not in the teengae Emo way, but because I have to keep telling myself how o act, at christmas eve, I was thinking, "this is where I'm excitited" it really is a crap way to live.
