Overall a pretty boring game. The first touchdown by Big Ben clearly never crossed the line. Then there was another iffy call that went the Steelers way, can't remember it though. Anyway, Seahawks passing game just couldn't cut it I guess.

As for Tom Brady, I don't really mind seeing him there. He fits with the Aikman's, Rice's, Namath's, etc., he deserved to be there, but if I was him I wouldn't want to do the coin toss.

Wow. Worst called game ever. Personal foul, blocking below the waist on Matt Hasselbeck? When he made the tackle on an INT? Yeah, nice one. Made it even worse that the play after on the reverse pass Ben actually did do a cut block. The pass intro was bullshit. The holding call was bullshit before the interception. Big Ben's TD was bullshit. Everytime Seattle got a big play it was called back. I guess they got The Bus a ring though and that was the whole story to this SuperBowl? Now even though we have heard about The Bus coming home ever since the NFC/AFC C'Ship games, we will hear all about it until training camp starts. And they will show his parents over and over and over...

Had the potential to be a good game but that was not the case...

I posted this is the NFL thread cuz I didnt see this one, but it was fitting to see Stevens drop the last pass of the game after being laid out by Joey Porter. Kinda feel bad for Seattle though, only have 1 championship EVER in any sport. Well maybe 2 if you wanna count U Dub football sharing the National Championship in '91

Also maybe I am biased but I dunno why everyone hates on the Patriots being the Superbowl, granted they have been there a lot lately but 2 out of the 3 games where decided in the last seconds, and last years they only won by 3.

So is being the QB on the losing Superbowl team better then being the guy tossing the coin cuz you got 2 Superbowl MVPs?

I'm not totally sure Ben's touchdown was bullshit lol. I mean it was really close yeah, but it wasnt like he was clearly not in or something. The push off in the endzone was a bad call because they never call stuff like that, even though they probably should.

If you want to blame anything, I would blame probably the two worst 2 minute drill performances in the history of the Superbowl by the Seahawks. I thought the 2 minute drill the Seahawks attempted to run at the end of the 1st half was awful but their 2nd 2 minute drill in the 4th was even worse - which is hard to believe.

Icon, the one that I couldn't remember was the pushoff. In slow motion it looked like a "maybe" call, but in full speed it was a legit play.

As for the Roethlisburger TD, I think it was pretty clear exactly where the ball was the whole time. His head and part of the body got over the line, but you could see the ball the whole time, and it literally got as close to the line without going over as you possibly can.

I agree with Outlaw, in the pregame I was thinking to myself, this has the potential to be a really cool game. The Seahawks have some cool players and it's a rare matchup of teams, but it turned out to be kind of boring most of the time. Too bad.
