Are you kidding? The Day The Earth Stood Still is a classic!

For me, though, I'd probably go with Teenagers From Outer Space, with Pod People in second.

Although, Pod People w/ MST3K commentary becomes one of the best ever. So it's sort of a toss-up.

Batman & Robin, hands down. This movie absolutely murdered the Batman franchise, up until Batman Begins.

Yeah, it's the worst of a mostly solid franchise, but there have been worse superhero movies than B&R, so I don't see how B&R could be the worst overall movie.

B&R > Captain America
B&R > The Roger Corman "Fantastic Four"
B&R > David Hasselhoff as "Nick Fury"

Aside from the fact that most people with common sense wouldn't watch those, while the Batman franchise started off GOOD?

Absolutely irrelevant. Yes, it was a disappointment compared to the rest of the franchise, but if it's not even the worst of its genre, how can it be the worst overall, which is what the question is?

As bad as B&R is, I think its horribleness is exaggerated because the franchise started off so well. Was I disappointed in "The Phantom Menace?" Sure! Was it the worst of the Star Wars franchise? Sure! But is it the worst movie I've ever seen? Not by a long shot.

This isn't irrelevent, as it establishes that more people will have seen the latter over the former, which is exactly the point. You chose some pretty uncommon movies for people to have seen, and compared them to a mainstream "blockbuster."

In fact, you may have chosen 3 Marvel movies people were LEAST likely to have seen. FF: Never released anywhere. Nick Fury: D2DVD far as I know, not widely distributed, shown occasionally on Sci-Fi, but most people haven't seen it. Captain America: So horrible they originally canned it, barely made a showing for itself.

But please, try and change the argument, because God knows you're not bright enough to grasp the relevance of "number of people who've seen a movie" to "why B&R gets mentioned in worst movies you've ever seen."

Okay, fine, bad example, whatever.

Can't believe I'm trying to clarify what should have been an obvious point, but... How about:

Jurassic Park III
Shark Tale
xXx
Look Who's Talking
The Matrix Revolutions
Godzilla (1998 remake)
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider
The Flintstones
2 Fast 2 Furious

All of these movies made at least $125,000,000 domestically, and I contend they're all worse than Batman & Robin.

So, not only did MORE PEOPLE see these movies, they're also WORSE than B&R. Thus, I find it very hard to believe, as disappointing as it was, that B&R was the worst movie anyone has ever seen.

You can add Dolphins Lundgren as The Punisher to that list.
I think the actor that played Captain America is JD Salinger's son.

Now that I think about, I'd say Alone in the Dark was worse than HotD. At least HotD had some unintentional humour. Alone in the Dark was just pure boring.

The greats about Land of the Dead were..

1) I loved how they had a never ending supply of amo in that Death Star on wheels. I just kept everytime i saw a new rocket get pulled from no where. Its like , is there a Rocket Depot on every corner where they just pick these things up.

2) The whole " zombies getting distracted by fireworks " thing was so fucking hilarious. They're dead yet they are mildly intrested in fireworks.

3) John Leguizamo leading anyone

4) The midget being a mafia leader

5) But my favorite was the last scene where he's like " Oh the zombies are just looking for a place to go. " After all that BS of zombies killing everyone and shit. And the message at the end of the movie is... Sure they killed most of our population, but now they just need another place to go, so lets not kill them.

I understand why Blockbuster doesnt carry this film.

And the black gas station guy was the leader of the zombies. I know when i die and turn into a zombie, the first guy i follow will be the fat black gas station worker who pumps my gas every day. Thats if i'm not distracted by fireworks or something.

The Descent is miles better than Alone in the dark. The ending made perfect sense. No-one gets out alive. The girls being good-looking wasn't really the point either. One the best horror movies in ages.

Where do I begin?

The MK movies (ironically enough, I loved the Resident Evil movies.)
Date Movie (Waste of time, waste of money, waste of life. Garbage.)

And I totally agree with the Land Before Times after the first one sucking.

I have to say Coffee and Cigarettes. I got up and left during this movie, got convinced to sit back down... and left again. Left twice on one viewing. It wins. I heart huckabees, aggravated the hell out of me because it was trying SO SO SO SO hard to be kitchy. From the moment I saw Jason Schwartzman was in the lead, I knew they were trying to go for some sort of Wes Anderson feel... and failed so miserably I had to quit that film.

So far, that's it for recent movies. OH OH OH, on Christmas Eve, my future sister in law watched one of those films... what was it... oh yeah! "Must Love Dogs"

Fuck... fucking Must Love Dogs... it was Christmas and that... *#$@#()&@# was watching the worst movie of all time. And I used to think Diane Lane was hot, too. Now I just wish... I wish I could go back in time and destroy this film on preproduction. FUCK! I'm angry now.

Spun. It annoyed the shit right out of me. The rental DVD fucked up at some point during it and wouldn't work anymore, so I returned it and got my money back, handily enough. They offered me another copy but I said no, it's shit.

Mission: Impossible.

I don't know what it is, but I CANNOT sit through more than 30 minutes of this movie, its just so bad.

Also, I watched the 2nd one, and kinda made it through, but it was pretty shitty too.

I dunno I liked I Heart Huckabees. 'Twas entertaining enough. They were trying hard to be weird and offbeat, yeah, but a lot of it was done well.

It had a lot more good points than Coffee and Cigarettes, or Must Love Dogs... but the fact that it was trying so hard... and the fact that Jason Schwartzmann is in ALL of those kinds of films... made me angry. I don't like movies making me angry.

I'll still stand by Dark Harvest 1 and 2 being the worst movies ever made.

I've seen better home videos, and ones with higher budgets.
