I think when BM debuted, Palmer Canon said he was going to debut on another UPN show playing "The Boogeyman". Excellent. We know about the name. You can then have it said he lives off worms because the incarnation of the Boogeyman he was going to play did that. Make him a method actor that has become so submersed in a deprived lifestyle, he is really starting to go insane.

Right now, I get the impression Boogeyman either goes home and lives a normal life, proud of the "deep facade" he has created OR he was punished from by his parents as a little kid, ran away because it was unfair, and ate worms and called himself "The Boogeyman" so people would be afraid of him.

Neither of those is appealing to me, and the second one definately not the target demographic. Boogeyman could be a smart character, but much like Muhammad Hassan, it has been replaced by a stereotyped character spawned from its appearance.
Palmer brought him over because the "Network's" show had fallen through. He was hired to Smackdown because UPN (Not really) was stuck with him.

At first, he was pretty funny. Now all the magic was gone and it's like, "okay, he's going to eat worms and squash people...YAWN."

I liked Smackdown also, not surprised to see a thread on it.Only bad things were Ortons new theme,(I actually liked his old one, the new one wont even grow on me I don't think) no Benoit and no Rey.But to be honest the quality of the show made me forget that Benoit/Rey wont even on it.I only just realised they werent on it while reading this thread.

Doesn't it seem strange they're leaving such big names out of some shows in the build up to WM?

Are you talking about the WWE, if you are then, NO its not surprising at all.

So far the buildup to WM has been horribly lackluster, so I'm not sure if there should be any sort of "strange" feeling.
