Rumours were they were gonna trade Nik Antropov to free up some room for Carter. Damn I wish they had.

Prolly just end up either getting Bondra or trading either Tellqvist or Aubin for something.

I think that logo needs legs. Also some colour bands on the lower half or something. I do like it well enough, but the buffalo needs to be fully formed and perhaps a bit bigger in the jersey or like I said some colour bands.. or one big one on the bottom. It's too far away from a traditional hockey jersey as it stands right now.

Just to further explain my point.

Look at this similar logo for Phoenix.


It was smart enough to look all new but still add the colour bands.borders on the bottom of it's uniform to complete it. Otherwise the jersey looks incomplete. I do like the player's number on the jersey's front like the Sabres have...

ANy Canucks fans here? I'm getting really worried about this season. They dont' have any toughness. No power forward, no depth on Defence. No heart... They will miss Jovonovski because of everythign he brings.

This pre-season isn't providing any break out players. Kesler has looked good, Burrows not too bad, but no one has snuck up and made a person go 'wow'. Remember though, it is just the pre-season.

Leafs have had an interesting pre season. Alexander Suglobov has looked prety good, and I also wouldn't mind seeing Bates Battaglia make the team. But there's still no clearcut choice for backup goalie (IMO).

Blue Jackets finally signed Zherdev. If Zherdev and Brule both reach their potential a Nash-Brule-Zherdev line could be pretty terrifying. The rest of the team might suck but whatever.

either way, they are stacked up front. Plus they have grit. They have decent defense and solid goaltending (although I think Ward may be over his head) They will again be one of the favoured teams.

I agree with this.

Also - I'm not so sure about Columbus' defense. They have an aging Adam Foote, and a "damaged goods" Bryan Berard. Who else do they have?

Pascal Leclaire (Columbus' goalie if I'm not mistaken) should be pretty decent.

The team that makes me sick however, is the friggin' Ducks. Thank god the Canucks aren't in that division. Pacific Division is far and away the toughest division this year IMO. San Jose and Anaheim should be insanely good, while the Kings and Dallas won't be too shabby either.

Phoenix, with Jovanovski, Roenick, and Nolan, might put themselves back into playoff contention as well.
