If people hate you so much that they don't want to watch you, then no. That's not a good heel. The difference is, Pac got X-Pac heat while trying to be a face. Miz is getting it while trying to be a heel. Either way, "get the fuck off my TV" heat is not a good thing.

I hate Poochy because everything about him is annoying and stupid... not the good kind of annoying where you actually enjoy it. Even his ring attire is stupid.

I'm really annoying, but my friends love me for it. Poochy is really annoying and everyone hates him for it. When he's on tv, I don't pay attention or change the channel.


He was really annoying before he got even more "in your face".

I still want to hear a "Poochy" chant one day. My friend and I would be soooo happy to hear one.

This is the truuuuuuuuue story of when I was talking to my friend on the phone on Friday night. He called me slightly before the Miz came out. He doesn't even watch wrestling anymore, but the minute he heard "This is the truuuuuuuuuuuue story...." He was already groaning.

Stupid shit like this is why he stopped watching wrestling.

I'm not saying this is Universal, but this is the reaction I've been witnessing. This is not a good sign in my opinion.

Again, no evidence given to suggest he's making people tune out, you're just suggesting it's true because your friend did it. Didn't Vermaat conduct an interview with his friends and put forward it as fact?

We can't know about everyone. A lot of people won't change the channel during wrestling. When I'm sitting and watching Smackdown, I usually change the channel when Poochy is on.

I never said I was indicative, nor did anyone else. Oh, unless you actually want to put forth an argument worth a fuck.

You know what's amazing though? I've had literally dozens of friends, and known more than that, who watched pro wrestling. I've been to people's houses with large groups of people I didn't even know, watching WWF/WCW/whatever. And the overwhelming majority of them channel surfed. Either when things were boring, or when something was on commercial, or when a promo package was on (Which is technically "boring," but you get the point).

I find it hard to believe people don't change the channel quite a bit during Smackdown. It's not definitive, it's not indicative, but it's reasonable. And honestly, I can't think of a better pissbreak than Poochy.

But then, we can't prove a thing. Well, except that Vince is certainly doing something wrong, with shitty ratings on both shows (Comparatively speaking).

Actually it seems like a lot of wrestling fans right now are more casual then, say, 6 years ago. I was in too much of a hurry to finish up my post so I

I knew a lot of people years ago that would watch all of Raw, Smackdown, Nitro, ECW and not channel surf. These days whenever I talk to someone about wrestling, it's usually "I saw this, but didn't see that". Raw and Smackdown have become more of an entertainment variety show than a wrestling show. People tune in, watching bits and pieces, checking out what they want to see.

I'm still with you, KK, that Poochy makes people change the channel. Well, at least me and you. And in the end, that's all that matters.

I don't like changing the channel during a wrestling show, but Poochy is that terrible that I don't want to watch him.

I don't change the channel anymore. I walk out of the room. Maybe it's literally a pissbreak. Maybe Ido some cleaning. Maybe I jerk off to pictures of Shawn Michaels from his Playgirl spread...

Actually, I wasn't questioning you. In a previous thread, when I proposed people might turn away from Poochy, Alienoid said, as though it were some incredible and unprecedented feat, that that meant viewers were turning away from WWE programming.

My opinion of the hate he's receiving is purely based on the people that I've seen on these boards, I check out others and I don't see the hate that seems to exist on TPWW. Personally I don't think he's getting X-Pac heat at shows, I think it's genuine, but not as hot as it could be, because as already mentioned, they haven't defined him as an 'official' face or heel

Alot of the hate on here I feel is to do with that poochy comment from a few months back and everyone hated him on here before he even got a chance to wrestle as he was stuck in that diva contest presenter role, now if you're linked to the diva search you're bound to be seen a bad light on here anyway.

The guy has got loads of charisma and I don't think anyone can really disagree with that, whether you feel it's good charisma or bad charisma is another matter, but he has all the tools to be a decent mid-carder and I think the general audience are re-acting as expected, it just seems like it's people on here that hate him.

I don't have any evidence of the ratings, but you were the one who was making the speculation that viewers were tuning out during Miz sections, I've never made any claims that he increases or decreases viewers, with the exception of your friend, who doesn't really watch the show that much anyway.

My only agrument is the hate from TPWW, as i've not seen or heard it from anywhere else

I think The Miz is in a unique situation as he's an over the top in your face guy, who's meant to get shoved down your mouth to the point where you don't like him.

Similar to the way that Rocky Johnson did.

So wait until the point he does something officailly heelish, thus far it's been limited to a few cheap shots, I know the character he has is far from perfect and there's things that need to be done with him to get him more over.

But right now given the character he's putting out there, he's getting the right sort of reaction.

But you've not seen any of this have you? Because it's mostly based on you watching him in a non wrestling presenter role on a different show

Now, maybe you are just listening to Alienoid's false claims that I admitted I don't watch Raw, or maybe you're reacting to mt statements that we can only judge him from Raw. The former, you're a fucktard, and so is he. The latter, I used the Raw results because they're the only undoctored results broadcast on TV. Not because it's the only show I watch, nor because it's the only time I've seen him.

What Alionoid is misconstruing (Besides his usual shtick) is my statement that I zone out during Miz matches. Why? Because I think he's that bad. Sadly, in that same thread, I pointed out that I still have made a point to watch him at points, specifically because of his claims and those of fellow fucktards.
