I'm not paying 40 dollars for a ppv period. Much less this one.
I still watch wrestling, but with the exception of Wrestlemanias, I can't bring myself to order them lately. This ppv is looking bad.
I dont see how a one hour show with only one title can support a 3hour ppv, especially with the 6 top names in one match. The answer is it can't, and its gonna be 2 matches with loads of crappy filler thats lucky if it breaks 2 hours.
The whole thing should have been booked more wisely, and further in advance.
There should have been a TV title tournament as well.

This is like the old ECW PPV's though, they normally announce like 3 matches and the rest are like segway matches that just happen.

I used to LOVE that

I'm not as much against the fact that the matches aren't announced. I know that in the old ecw days they used to have impromtu matches. But they had a roster to work with, and they didn't have their top 6 guys all thrown into one match.
Its not that I'm against not announcing matches, its that I'm skeptical of the ability to throw together good ones based on whats left to work with.

December to Dismember

So...what the fuck? Not only do we have the Hardy Boyz vs. MNM on there (which is ridiculously random and makes absolutely no sense), but it's a two-match PPV?

One Night Stand (the original) only announced the main event beforehand, and turned into one of the best PPVs of all time. Hardyz vs MNM might not make much sense, but it should be a hot match, and Elimination Chamber is always worth watching, and with the added weapons stipulation, should be something quite different this time.

I'm not defending WWE expecting people to buy a PPV with only 2 matches announced, but there is still hope. I thought, back when ECW restarted, they said that we were gonna see the likes of Lance Storm, Tajiri and Terry Funk showing up on these ECW PPVs?

Nah, they announced more than the main event. They didn't announce everything, but they announced more than the main event, and more importantly, they announced that there would BE more than the main event.

I know the announced some of the people who would be ON the card, but I can't remember any matches announced other than Dudleys vs Dreamer/Sandman.

Actually, I have a feeling now that the FBI's match may have been announced beforehand too. Hmm. Still it did not look particularly juicy on paper, but turned into something great.

Mind you, December To Dismember's best option was to take place in Hammerstein Ballroom or the old ECW Arena, to get a good atmosphere in there. That WWE is actively choosing to stay away from the areas where ECW in most synonymous and popular speaks volumes about how much respect they have for the OLD ECW fans. They don't want them involved.

The first ever "Interactive Elimination Chamber" the only match where the crowd gets to be INSIDE THE CHAMBER!

Why?

I'd like to see this happen:

http://www.wrestleview.com/news2006/1164826023.shtml

In what is surely a way to get TNA some hype and create controversey, BG James and Kip James (collectively called The Voodo Kin Mafia), have accepted the challenge laid out by the Hardy Boyz for ECW's December To Dismember pay per view this Sunday.

In a article on TNAWrestling.com, they make the challenge and say that even though "another team" has accepted (MNM), they would like to makie it a three way dance at the pay per view. According to the article BG James claims they will agree to fight if WWE stops using "Dumb to the Xtreme" television promos immediately. They in turn promise not to use their footage on TNA iMPACT!.

BG James also said: "You know Vince – a funny thing happened on Monday afternoon on your website when we were watching your little online press conference. When the Hardys made the open challenge, I couldn’t help but hear the fans chanting ‘VKM’. Some other tag team may have accepted it, but it’s still an open challenge and the Voodoo Kin Mafia want in the match – so let’s make it a three-way. You have until this Thursday night before ‘iMPACT!’ goes on the air to give us an answer.”

We will have more on this story as it develops.

Wow, seems like TNA continues to waste time and effort. It's like a little brother who keeps following big brother around even though big brother hates him and completely ignores him, then one day goes on a rage and beats the shit out of the little brother.

The Sandman vs. Hardcore Holly has been announced. It's shaping up to pretty good, in my opinion. I mean, they are allowed to have some surprises. If Holly and Sandman go at it under Extreme Rules, it'll be a pretty sweet match.

I'd love to see The Full Blooded Italians in a match. Maybe just have them challenge London & Kendrick for SmackDown!'s WWE Tag Team Championship to respawn the ECW Tag Team Championship? That'd be an awesome match.

For some reason, I can see The FBI facing Mike Knox and Kevin Thorn, though. We get some Diva bullshit, Trinity wins, or Kelly Kelly wins, a cat fight breaks out, Thorn and Knox try to beat-up Trinity, The FBI makes the save. I really think London & Kendrick should be on the card. With the limits being taken off guys for ECW PPVs (I hope), they'd really benefit from being able to wrestle there. Maybe Sylvester Terkay & Elijah Burke if not The FBI?

Then that Tuesday Big Show wants Heyman to make a match between him and Lashley for the title. Heyman agrees and promises Big Show that history won't repeat itself.

The match comes, there's the typical ref bump, Big Show nails Lashley with the Chokeslam. Heyman comes out and starts to count, but Lashley kicks out. Big Show gets pissed and goes for another Chokeslam, but Heyman tells him to use a chair on him. So Show goes for a chair and raises it over his head and then...BAM Heyman kicks Show low, Lashley jumps up and spears Show. Lashley pins Show and then embraces Heyman.

The next week Heyman claims that at DtD, he saw the torch being passed on. He saw The Big Show step down as he title of "Most Dominant Monster" in the business and Lashley rise up and claim that title. And since Show was no longer the most dominant monster, he was no longer needed. That when he promised Show that history wouldn't repeat itself, he was right. He prevented The Big Show from once again becoming ECW Champion, because his reign has passed. It's time for Lashley to dominant.
I like that idea. Not only do I like it, I think that may actually be what the WWE is planning to do.

Here's how I see the Elimination Chamber going:

CM Punk and Rob Van Dam start. They do their stuff, then Sabu enters. He uses a chair (assuming there is one in the match), and goes Sabu-y on everyone. Test comes in, and grounds Sabu. He does the "heel slows the pace of the match thing", and when Big Show enters next, he Chokeslams Sabu to get rid of him.

CM Punk manages to hit his combination of Test, plant him with the uranage, and get him to submit to the Anaconda Vice. This would probably be after Bobby Lashley entered the match. Test Big Boots Punk, out of spite, and Rob Van Dam gets the Five Star Frog Splash for the pin. Big Show, Bobby Lashley and RVD are the last three, with RVD soon being eliminated after a Chokeslam.

Bobby Lashley defeats Big Show, and we get a new ECW Champion.

Heres how I'd like it:

I'd like to see CM Punk and Sabu start off (just because I think the RVD CM Punk match should be saved completely).
Punk and Sabu work a great start and then Test enters. Lashley comes in and dominates for a while but then calms down. After a while CM Punk eliminates Test, and irate test reluctantly leaves. Next, RVD comes in and joins the mayhem. Sabu and RVD work together but Lashley eliminates Sabu after RVD accidentally hits him. Finally Big Show comes in and throws down for a little. CM Punk is getting manhandled by the Shhow, but begins to fight back and gets in a position where he's about to eliminate him, but Test comes back in and desimates Punk, bloodies him, and throws him to the wolves as Big Show chokeslams him and eliminates him.

Now you have Show, RVD and Big Show. Lashley eliminates RVD and Big Show and becomes the new ECW champ I guess. Possible heel turn with Heyman at the end.

Punk loses, but not cleanly
Test and CM Punk go on to fued
Lashley begins a reign
RVD and Sabu start to quarrel as a result of this

What about Matt Striker? He would have made more sense in that match, since atleast he and Sandman have a bit of feud.

I'm not sure if this counts as a spoiler, but new matches have been made for the show according to PWinsider.com. Just in case it is a spoiler, I'll leave space between this and the matches, so you have been warned.

I'm not defending WWE expecting people to buy a PPV with only 2 matches announced, but there is still hope. I thought, back when ECW restarted, they said that we were gonna see the likes of Lance Storm, Tajiri and Terry Funk showing up on these ECW PPVs?
