You're right, my bad. Just looked at the box. One of my favorite feuds/match and I don't even recall the stipulations.

I would have liked to see Mick Foley vs Hulk Hogan. One of the few big-name dream matches which has never taken place, along with Hogan vs Austin, but there seems to be no buzz about it or demands for it.

Any match with Hogan involved will likely be the pits anyway so why not Foley? At least he could carry the interview/hype side of it well, and possibly pull Hogan's first ever Hardcore match out of him.

Can you imagine Hogan getting slammed through a flaming table?? Or clotheslined into thumb tacks?

I can imagine Hogan dying and never being a ring again. That's much better than your idea. Also, It's gonna be Kahli and Show. There is no debate.

Trump/McMahon Rumors For WrestleMania 23, & More

By Matt Boone

According to Mike Johnson, it is possible that The Great Khali will wrestle ECW Champion Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania. The talk within the company now is that Donald Trump would appear in Lashley's corner while Vince McMahon would be in Khali's corner.

This is still up in the air, and may change several times. As of late, it was expected that Lashley would wrestle Hardcore Holly at WrestleMania. Before being moved to Raw, Khali was originally expected to wrestle Lashley at WrestleMania.

Why do people buy into WrestleMania matches?

People bought tickets for Mania 3 in droves to see if the incredible Hulk Hogan could slam, or even defeat, the monsterous Andre the Giant, and retain his WWF Championship.

They came to Mania 12 to watch the athletic competition between two of wrestling's finest: the new generation, represented by the incomprable Shawn Michaels, and the technical old schooler, Bret Hart, in 60 Minutes for the Iron Man Match.

They watched Mania 15 to see if Steve Austin, after a year of battle, could rise victorious over Vince McMahon's dominance and his Corporate Champ, The Rock.

There is no reason to have a McMahon vs. Trump feud except to get the fucking bastard's face on TV leading up to his biggest show of the year. There's no build up and I'm willing to bet there's not a single fan out there who has any kind of emotional attachment to either man's triumph. McMahon reallly has become an idiotic egomaniac if he thinks that this feud is going to help sell tickets to Mania.

Okay dude, it's clearly unfair to gauge the others by their main event (prob the biggest 3 of all 23) , and then label a midcard match as "the reason" why people are buying tickets for this Wrestlemania. It's just unbalanced. Granted Cena/Michaels or Taker/Batista isn't the main event that Austin/Rock is

Also, I'm pretty sure very few people have bought Wrestlemania tickets knowing a single match beforehand, at least in the past 10 or so years.

Okay, not to go off on a tangent here, but Hogan vs Andre, Michaels vs Hart and Rock vs Austin are not the biggest 3 main events ever. You can argue a case for the other two, but there are many bigger matches than Hart/HBK in WrestleMania's history.

Man, if Lashley vs Khali is the best we're gonna get, then this Wrestlemania seriously is having NOTHING going for it (they haven't mentioned MitB, so yeah).

We might have a new "Worst. Wrestlemania. Ever."

Nonetheless they're the big main events, and likening Trump Mcmahons midcard showbiz related fued to the monumental headlines of those shows is like comparing apples and oranges.

I dont see the big deal at all. It's not the greatest thing, its in fact really lame, but at least it garners interest and is only in the midcard. It's better than Shane vs Hogan normally for no reason. I'd rather see Foley vs Shane with this stipulation, and maybe be a mark for Austin shaving Vinces head.
Because thats probably what its gonna be.

But the interest is not in the head shaving, but in the involvement of Trump. Why tack on a shitty gimmick? I understand the need to add some sort of purpose for the match, but Jesus, hair vs. hair? Trump's hair is world-renowned (maybe), so we know he's not going to lose it.

doesn't bother me

I'm more concerned about what they do with the World Title matches, what they book for second main events, and if they get the IC title and MITB on the card and such. And also what they do with the rest of the roster and the tag titles etc.

What they do with the showbiz attraction mcmahon match stipulation doesn't really bother me

If we're talking about what bothers me, then it's not going to be much of a discussion. I'm not too bothered by it, just bewildered. The same goes for most of what WWE does these days.

It at least sort of works for Trum. Vince looks like a cancer patient.

It's clearly a combover. One of you guys should hop the barrier and just buzz his head quick. Sure you'd get roughed up and probably charged, but you'd go down as a legend not only in wrestling, but in pop culture and nationwide news.

Vince could make a decently convincing older Lex Luther.

He's prolly prepping for his future Smallville appearance. Seeing as how everyone else in the WWE seems to be making cameos.
